Now called "Stegamier Pale Ale." Bottle - from sampler pack. Colror is straw to orange and fairly clear. Malt and hop aroma with a hint of metal. Pretty good - both hoppy and malty but not the best hop flavor.

12 oz bottle from a coworker. Pours a thin rusty orange with large clinging bubbles and a fizzy off white head. Aroma is harsh fruit notes, peach and apricot, rust, wet bread. The body is overly fizzy and thin to the point where I thought I was drinking seltzer. Flavors of bread crust, rotting fruit and cdopper. Blah.

Pours a tranlucent copper amber with an average foamy off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of floral hops, sweet orange light pine and some caramel. Flavor of pine, decent malt balance. I was pleasantly surprised by this one.it was a decent hoppy session pale ale.

Twist off bottle. Golden pour into Sam Adams lager glass. Faint aroma of grass and caramel. Taste surprisingly estery (banana comes to mind) with a dry grassy finish. Decent flavor to this pale ale that is an increasingly varied style.

Clear amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of malt bisquit and hops. A flavor of malt, hops, citrus and grass, a nice bitter finish.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ChainGangGuy (3685) - Canton, Georgia, USA - JUN 9, 2009
Appearance: Pours a clear, orange-amber body with a half inch of evanescing, whitish foam.
Smell: Sweetish nose of grains and light caramel marked with some spicy, citrusy hop notes.
Taste: Blend of dry caramel and toffee with a flavor of steeped, soaked grains. Citrusy, lightly spicy hops provide a medium amount of balancing bitterness. Then, it’s back to the toffee-esque malt, though the flavor and body starts to recede at this point, but in no way does it approach being watery. Short, dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A generally okay, comfortably average pale ale. Sure, you could do worse, but you could also do far, far better in terms of pale ales.

i enjoyed the beer like quality with the pleasant addition of some fruit punch like flavors that were light and complemented the real beer character of years ago. light floral hop almost artificial with equally light malt it is balanced. light abv yet golden in color and nicely drinkable. a brewer who has the experience and know how to impress in todays market while sticking to affordability. i applaud that sense and this brew!
