3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a beautiful copper brown, with an ever-so-slight haze. Miniature flocculent deposits appear and settle to the bottom of the glass. 1-inch tan head forms and quickly dissipates to 1/16 inch. Distinctive hop and yeast nose. Very pleasant. Medium-light body. The palate is bright with lingering malt and bitter notes. Some Belgian lace. Dry. Great aperitif beer! This ale made me hungry. I would look for it again. While the hops are evident, it is not an IPA, more of a Red Ale, as the label also suggests.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 16 oz can, dark red pour with slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of nice grass, pine, slight floral notes, caramel, toffee in there, some nice orange peel, hints of lemon, pretty nice in there with slight fruity notes as well. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, toffee, some red fruit kinda watery lemon notes, finishing fairly sweet, slight grass.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Reddish pour, 1 finger head. Hops in the aroma, slight nuttiness, sweet malt, bread. Bready taste, slight hops, citrus zest, hints of darker citrus fruit, caramel in the taste. Good mouthfeel, but a bit underwhelming overall. Maybe a fresher can is in order?

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ruby copper with a medium beige airy and rocky crown that fades slowly. Aroma is nicely dank with resinous hops, fruity undertones, caramel and is the most inviting Belgian IPA Iíve laid my nose upon. Taste is resinous and earthy with caramel, mild fruit and moderate dank-ness. A touch rough with moderate bitterness but pleasantly surprised as the yeast is very muted making this a winner.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the can, pours a dark red with an off white head. It is yeasty with some earthy hops. Some malty and tropical fruit flavors and also some resin and piney hops. Very enjoyable.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can poured into a Perfect Pint. A big tan head leaves sticky lacing. The beer is clear and almost cola colored but with a bit more red. The nose is chocolate and Belgian yeast more than anything. The feel is smooth. I taste the yeast and chocolate malts. Hops are citrus and some pine. Some zest is tasted. Although the ABV is not high I taste the alcohol. I also taste a bit of roasted effects.

Very complex and tasty brew that breaks new ground in flavor profiles for an IPA. So complex and different that I canít really put a label on it...oh, well. Another fantastic selection from Brewery Vivant...
