3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2013 Can. Pours a cloudy orange color with a very small amount of head. Aroma is grainy malt, honey, and some light citrus and red fruit. Taste is very smooth. Reminds me a Belgian Triple. Light fruity notes mixed with some flavorful malt. The honey holds it together it keeps it smooth. The Belgian yeast flavor does not come through until the finish and is very subtle. High carbonation and medium body. Slightly sticky mouthfeel. I enjoyed this beer. Not nearly as complex as other Belgian Strongs but itís smooth and tasty. Re-rate 2/22/13 - Had this twice more and donít like it as much. Over-carbonated a bit and the flavors are dry and a bit stale. Itís not bad though. Nice fruitiness, lots of honey. Decent.

On tap in trappist glass very little head, white. Wine caramel. Low carbonation, sweet, some acidity. Clean well made, not complex.

On tap at the source. This is the barrel ages version. Pours a clear copper with a thin white head. Wow. Really nice. Oak is noticeable. Fairly sweet and malty. Interesting.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from Flandersned-thanks! Nose of spicey Belgian yeast elements and earthy honey, slightly floral. That kind of soapy dry honey thing done honey ales get, but not in a bad way. Pleasant enough.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16oz can shared. Poured a bright copper color with off white head that doesnít last. The upfront aroma is Belgian yeast and honey with a slight citrus touch on the end. The flavor rolls with the nose. You get some of that Belgian quality with s tanginess of the citrus and then the honey. I suppose itís good but just not me. Itís like it is almost there and then dies off into something else.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours an amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast and honey - a bit too sweet in the nose. The flavor has the same sweetness, but it comes out less ripe. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint on tap. Pours a clear copperish color with really no head to speak of. Aromas of Belgian yeast, some spice, light sweetness. Tastes similar. A touch sweet, though doesnít have a honey taste. Easy drinker; makes me think of summer. Light bodied, a bit under carbonated; light, lingering sweetness.

Pint can thanks to DrSilverworm. Vinous, honey and fruity. Standout for the style and enjoyable.

16oz can, thanks to Jim C. for sharing. Clear orange color. Thin off-white head, some dots of lace. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation, mildly soft, light dry finish. Caramel malt and honey, biscuity malt, as well as some toastiness and belgian sort of toffee fruity type flavors. Honey biscuit type flavor dominates overall, pretty nice. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Solid flavorful belgian ale, tasty one to sip on.
