4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 milewide (1203) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - SEP 1, 2012UPDATED: SEP 3, 2012 Rerate: Can 2/4. I’ve upped my rating! I’ve never smelled or tasted a more "rotten/horse blanket" bretta brew! Can says that it contains live yeast, and will improve for 5 years. I believe it!
Red amber color. Average head. Aroma and taste were funky bretta and sour. Medium body. $19.99/4 16oz. cans.

Can! Pours a clear copper color with a very light tan head. Funky aroma; sour and some barnyard. At this point is have a more sour note than funky though. Medium mouthfeel. Pear, apple, some sweetness, pineapple, all mixed in with some funk. Not overly sour though. ABV really doesn’t show. Pretty tasty.

This is a special seasonal beer they are trying out. I wasn’t a big fan of it. It actually tastes sour like it was skunked or old.

Pours reddish copper with a modest beige head and a sour fruit aroma. There is a medium-bodied light malt flavor with brett-fueled sourness that is substantial but not overwhelming. A dry fruity finish.

16 oz. can shared by Keir- thanks again, Keir! Wow, wide range of experiences on this one. I didn’t know anything about the brewery or beer going into it. Pours a clear golden color with a small eggshell white head. Aroma of peach, apricot, sugar, bretty funk, and earth. Flavor of the same fruits and funk as the nose, with sweet caramel malts and just a little metal. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and a fruity, sweet mouthfeel. Good sour.
