Cloudy straw with a full head that remains as a cover for the length of the drink, streaks of lace that drop back into the drink. Taste is typical of Brewery Vivant offerings: begins with wheat and malt, gives way to a sour fruit finish. I don’t know the brewery intentions, but sour fruit is evident in all styles I have sampled. It isn’t as offensive here as in some of the heavier brews, but I still consider it to be a distraction from what could be a palatable beverage.

No thanks. Smells a little spicy and hay. Pours straw color with a white head. Taste is..... Hmmm.... eating straw with a hint of funk tied in, in other words, kind of like a bud aged on a bed of hay. I like the style, but this one didn’t deliver.

Draft at Southwater Kitchen. Pours hazy gold with a thick white head. aromas of yeast, fruit, grass and hay. Taste is slightly funky and vinous with notes of oak, yeast, lemon rind. Really vibrant bright taste.

I think that aside from a berliner, this is one of the most refreshing and easy to drink light beers I have had in a long time. The pour is hazy pale yellow with a big white head. The nose is straw, yeast, light citrus. The taste is medium high sweet, medium bitter and medium low tart. The texture is crisp and clean, the body is light and the finish is long. Unfortunately this doesn’t really fit the bill for a traditional saison but none the less it’s delicious and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

It pours a cloudy pale yellow and a generous white head with aromas of lemongrass and year. The taste is tart with lemon and a little spicy. It is overall a very light beer that is delicious.

Had it on tap at Fireside in Chicago, poured a hazy orange with a light head and a light citrusy aroma. It has a firm hop taste with a smooth finish.

I REALLY enjoyed this beer. I am a bit shocked the ratings are so low. Out of the 5 beers I tried with this brewery, this was by far my favorite. It is a lighter beer but the flavors and aromas were great. I am a big fan.

Can. Rather clear very pale yellow pour, white with thin white head. Aroma is intriguing, very citrusy, light bready notes, lemon juice and wheaty notes. Taste is quite citric, strong lemony flavor, light fresh grain, rather long lingering bitter (even astringent) finish. Palate is way over carbed, really prickly with a light body. Lots of good stuff going on here, but a few ends left untied in the finish leaves a feeling of not impressed.
