Bretta ale aged for over a year. "Over a year in the making, this hopped up Bretta ale is complexity in a glass. Rustic Brettanomyces barnyard funkiness dominates throughout. Back tones of grapefruit, pineapple and a little more funk balance this brew out.

A citrus aroma with very little barrel... Taste is a little tart with a bit more barrel coming through... Ok

Tap. Golden with small head. Amazing. Medium Brett is funky and flavorful, but not overly tart. Huge fruit. Easy 4+* beer

Can: copper & amber body, only slightly hazed with a white-ish head that boils down to a chunky collar rather quickly. Aroma is loaded with Brett & quite funky... notes of wet hay, moldy wood & barnyard, dusty old pineapple, cotton, & musty blankets. Lighter fruit-oriented aromas of lemon, honey, & melon. Taste is not as tart as I’d hoped (not surprised based on the aroma, though) with lots & lots of Brett... Notes of old, musty cotton blankets, wet bales of hay, honeydew, cobweb, & a touch of pineapple. Medium bodied, wet finish. Reminds me of a much less complex, more funk-heavy version of Sofie. That said, Sofie is eminently better... this could improve with time, hopefully some tartness starts to emerge.

Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, citrus, sweet tarts, and light brett. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of fruit and orange peel. The finish has some grain, light brett, and lemon peel. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Pour to tulip at the brewpub. Light orange, very cloudy pour with offwhite head that’s about eighth inch high. Very good funky barnyard/sour aroma: pungent, bitter grains, sour fruits and lemon. Flavor is similar to the nose with lots of tart and pepper, citruses, perhaps raspberries too. Very good full bodied sour beer.

Can shared by a friend, thanks! Pours a clear golden amber with a near white amber that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with some menthol and a hint of light tartness. Flavor starts with grass, grains and light funk with a hint of tartness in the finish.

Draft at the brewpub, Grand Rapids. Clear straw body, thin clumping off-white head. Lemony nose with tart pineapple notes. The forefront of the body is oaky and hoppy with an unusual emphasis on floral, tannic bitterness. The barnyard funk is mostly sourish pineapple that is quickly cleaned up by the bitter finish. Subtle and a tad delicate.

16 oz can from random IP trade at Kuhnhenn Winter Solstice. Pours an ultra clear amber with a small fizzy head that fades to a ring. Aroma is packed with mixed juicy fruit and an underlying barnyard scent. Taste is surprisingly sweet up front. Big fruity taste with citrus and red fruit. Bretta/Barnyard taste creeps through the dry, dusty finish. Just a slight tartness in the finish. Interesting beer. I never thought these Brett beers would grow on me but they kinda are now. I liked this one the more I drank it.
