This is a nice collaboration from two good breweries in GR. Brown in appearance, nutty and a bit funky. A nice blend of styles. Hoppy and surprisingly potent.

Draft. Poured a hazy dark brown color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted nut malt, yeast and soft citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Complex yeasty brown.

Tap. Funky dark farmhouse. Too light bodied to be a brown. Light spice. Awesome.

Lots of yeast on the nose; very one-dimensional. Gorgeous to the eye. More spice than expected in the flavor, but still pretty much: yeast. Crisp, constant, small-bubbled mouthfeel. A quality beer, but unappealing.

Sampler at Grand Rapids Brewing. Darker brown pour. Yeasty as well as hoppy. Almost like a darker version of Triomphe. Bigger on flavor than its GRBC counterpart. Nice.
