COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Triomphe: Belgian IPA 6.5% abv 16 oz large tulip glass This beer is made with a classic Belgian style yeast strain that gives the complexity and slight sweetness you may expect from a Belgian style ale, but then reaches deeper providing a smack-down of American hops. Served in a large Tulip glass to capture the and focus the hop aromas.

Draft at bagger daves. Everything about this beer is citrusy and mild. I enjoyed it for dinner. Muted and not an all star but very drinkable.

Really nice hop flavor. Very refreshing. With maybe a touch of honey? I really like it. Very drinkable.

Citrus hop aroma, pours a slightly hazy amber with a full white head. The Belgian yeast esters are the predominant flavor, with some grassy hop notes coming forward in the finish. Lingering fruity notes, not a bad beer but I don’t think I would class it as an IPA.

This was a freebie and you couldn’t ask for much better. A solid beer that is more Belgian than IPA it goes down very easily. Retaining a strong presence all the way to the end it manages to captivate the palate. I wish I would have been able to bring a few home to try later.

Aroma / Appearance - The dark golden red base is rich like the last leaves hanging from an autumnal tree. The mixture of yeast, malt, wheat, and pine push this towards the sweet end of the IPA spectrum. It is probably the Belgian yeast that does this along with a rich malt bill.

Flavor / Palate - Candy sugar, pine, and yeast warm the tongue. A few seconds later a transition of powered sugar sweeps into the light bitter finish. More malty than usual for an IPA this is still an excellent and affordable option. Even in a crowded Michigan market it manages to set itself apart from the competition.

Dark golden color. Strong wort presence with a touch of yeast, but balanced towards malts for an IPA.

Good. Solid floral hop elements with Belgian yeast. Not as remarkable as Trebuchet, however. A more approachable Belgian for those new to the flavor profiles.

16oz can from the Deli Lama in Lake Villa. Pours an orangey copper with a white head. Some streaks of lace. Aroma has spices and pine and plastic. Maybe citrus. Taste is of tangy spicy yeast, pine and resin. Some malt chasing way underneath. Light to medium bodied. Some alcohol. Finishes long and tangy sweet with a bitter undercurrent. Interesting. Too many guns in the wrong direction -- in the belgian-y line opposed to the ipa-ish line.

Pouring at BBF in Boston. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Soft malt, medium-bodied, malty. Malt, soft toast, chewy malt with some light spice into the finish.

16 oz can. (Siciliano’s) Grand Rapids, MI.
Tea-like bitterness, mild tart fruitiness and mild bitterness in the aroma. Mild bitterness, mild yeast and some malt in the flavour. What Belgian IPA? Yeast IPA... that’s what it is. But not bad.

Poured out of a 16 oz can into a Belgian snifter. A - Pours with a hazy amber body topped by a well-propotioned and durable off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma: Nutty yeast aromas mix with hops, some bready malts and faint fruits. Excellent balance. T: Nutty, yeasty, lightly funky, moderately hoppy, slightly fruity and floral. Nice complexity and good balance. The lingering, mildly bitter aftertaste is especially pleasant for this style. M - Medium-bodied with crisp, medium+ carbonation. Overall: a well crafted Belgian IPA worth seeking out.
