4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Purchased at Bottles & Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home after work, hopefully on one of the last sub-zero days of this winter. Appearance is a lightly cloudy amber gold with a moderate white head that lightly laces to the glass. Aroma of peppermint, light citrus and light tart and clove. Taste finishes with a nice dry bitterness, light tart, light piney hops, nicely done. Thereís nothing outstanding about this brew, but itís really good, solid, and exceptional. Probably the best "session" Belgo-IPA Iíve had yet.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A Belgian ipa that is really hoppy with a soapy finish. Fruity and smells citruscy. Pours a light yellow. Had at gale street inn.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at STL Hops 6th Anniversary Party - Pours clear golden with an off-white head. The aroma has cream, hoppiness, Belgian maltiness, fruity/earthy yeast, caramel and stone fruits. It has a medium crisp body with light sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with pine, citrus, caramel, spice, cream and earth. The finish taste earthy and spicy. Good Belgian IPA.

Draft at bagger daves. Everything about this beer is citrusy and mild. I enjoyed it for dinner. Muted and not an all star but very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Citrus hop aroma, pours a slightly hazy amber with a full white head. The Belgian yeast esters are the predominant flavor, with some grassy hop notes coming forward in the finish. Lingering fruity notes, not a bad beer but I donít think I would class it as an IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap in Grand Rapids (MI)
This was a freebie and you couldnít ask for much better. A solid beer that is more Belgian than IPA it goes down very easily. Retaining a strong presence all the way to the end it manages to captivate the palate. I wish I would have been able to bring a few home to try later.
Aroma / Appearance - The dark golden red base is rich like the last leaves hanging from an autumnal tree. The mixture of yeast, malt, wheat, and pine push this towards the sweet end of the IPA spectrum. It is probably the Belgian yeast that does this along with a rich malt bill.
Flavor / Palate - Candy sugar, pine, and yeast warm the tongue. A few seconds later a transition of powered sugar sweeps into the light bitter finish. More malty than usual for an IPA this is still an excellent and affordable option. Even in a crowded Michigan market it manages to set itself apart from the competition.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark golden color. Strong wort presence with a touch of yeast, but balanced towards malts for an IPA.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Good. Solid floral hop elements with Belgian yeast. Not as remarkable as Trebuchet, however. A more approachable Belgian for those new to the flavor profiles.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can from the Deli Lama in Lake Villa. Pours an orangey copper with a white head. Some streaks of lace. Aroma has spices and pine and plastic. Maybe citrus. Taste is of tangy spicy yeast, pine and resin. Some malt chasing way underneath. Light to medium bodied. Some alcohol. Finishes long and tangy sweet with a bitter undercurrent. Interesting. Too many guns in the wrong direction -- in the belgian-y line opposed to the ipa-ish line.
