3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Poured a medium amber color with minimal white head. Aroma was grass and hops. Flavor was similar with a bit of sweetness as well. Not as hoppy as some hop heads would probably want. Iím not an IPA fan, but this was not bad. It was the best of the sampler brews I tried.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tall boy can served in a FFF teku glass.
A: Pours a semi hazy amber color with an off yellow head forming on the pour. It recedes slowly to a thick collar and cap that leaves some sticky webbing.
S: Heavy biscuit malts and peppery yeasty up front. Light floral and bitter hops are on the finish. Sweet fruity esters are present as well with a twinge of banana.
T: The base beer is pretty malty with biscuit and cracker flavors. Peppery yeast pops up mid-palate. The finish is bitter green hops and some light floral notes.
M: Medium bodied with a nice quench and a yeasty drying finish. The carbonation is zesty and a little high.
O: This beer looked great, but the rest was pretty ho-hum. Iím a little spoiled with Live a Rich Life/Shark Pants at my disposal, but I digress. Pretty average for this relatively new style, but I applaud the effort. A little more balance between the malts and the hops and it would be much better.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had this on tap at Slows bbq. Poured into a pint glass and pours a medium gold color with a nice and foamy head.
Nice aromas of citrus, hops, oranges and spices. It doesnít have that much depth to it, but is nice.
Very good medium/full feel with nice depth and notes of citrus, navel oranges, and spices. Nice and smooth feel too.
A quality belgian ipa. It was also nice to have with some brisket.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Spicy, almost funky. The hops dont dominate it. HAd it on tap and thought it was a good funky belgian but not quite ipa territory. Can. More metallic and vegetal but a very topical aroma and pleasant bitterness. upped from 3.1.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft - part of a sample flight at the Brewery Vivant taproom. Pours a caramel color. White head. Mild hop aroma. Flavor of belgian spice. Some bitter in the finish, but I donít really get an IPA feel out of this. Maybe its just me, but I have a hard time with Belgian IPAs. I just keep asking myself "what is the point". Not a bad beer, just not my favorite. Even thought this was my least favorite of the night I will try it again as it is becoming more available by can. Maybe I will see the point sooner or later.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a rich darker golden-orange with a thick khaki dome that laces nicely. Aroma of rich Belgian yeast, spice and cloves, with plenty of pine and citrus that compliments the yeast character very well. Taste is sweet to a point, but quite bitter afterward. Palate is lighter side of medium with zesty carbonation and an almost puckering bitter finish. Really nice beer. Showcases how great Belgian style yeast can meld with American hops.

16 ounce can thanks to Bradley. Big and yeasty. Orange and citrus. Is that different from the other one I had? Ok overall.

16 ounce can thanks to northernbrews! Thanks! Iíve really wanted to try this brewery., Pours a hazy orange-amber color. About 6 fingers of head atop 4 fingers of beer. Tan and frothy with good retention. Aroma of citrus, spicy and herbal hops, candi sugar, stone fruits, and an earthy note. The taste is herbal, leafy hops, citrus, candied citrus, stone fruits, pale malts, peppery and earthy notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth. Nice beer.

Draft to taster at Brewery Vivant. Looks good; orange with white lacing. Smells solid; grassy hops. Tastes okay, but a little grassy. Mouthfeel is average. Good, not great. The Belgian yeast doesnít stand out as a smoothing agent, but itís still good.
