COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Triomphe: Belgian IPA 6.5% abv 16 oz large tulip glass This beer is made with a classic Belgian style yeast strain that gives the complexity and slight sweetness you may expect from a Belgian style ale, but then reaches deeper providing a smack-down of American hops. Served in a large Tulip glass to capture the and focus the hop aromas.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Spicy, almost funky. The hops dont dominate it. HAd it on tap and thought it was a good funky belgian but not quite ipa territory. Can. More metallic and vegetal but a very topical aroma and pleasant bitterness. upped from 3.1.

Draft - part of a sample flight at the Brewery Vivant taproom. Pours a caramel color. White head. Mild hop aroma. Flavor of belgian spice. Some bitter in the finish, but I don’t really get an IPA feel out of this. Maybe its just me, but I have a hard time with Belgian IPAs. I just keep asking myself "what is the point". Not a bad beer, just not my favorite. Even thought this was my least favorite of the night I will try it again as it is becoming more available by can. Maybe I will see the point sooner or later.

Pours a rich darker golden-orange with a thick khaki dome that laces nicely. Aroma of rich Belgian yeast, spice and cloves, with plenty of pine and citrus that compliments the yeast character very well. Taste is sweet to a point, but quite bitter afterward. Palate is lighter side of medium with zesty carbonation and an almost puckering bitter finish. Really nice beer. Showcases how great Belgian style yeast can meld with American hops.

16 ounce can thanks to northernbrews! Thanks! I’ve really wanted to try this brewery., Pours a hazy orange-amber color. About 6 fingers of head atop 4 fingers of beer. Tan and frothy with good retention. Aroma of citrus, spicy and herbal hops, candi sugar, stone fruits, and an earthy note. The taste is herbal, leafy hops, citrus, candied citrus, stone fruits, pale malts, peppery and earthy notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, smooth. Nice beer.

Draft to taster at Brewery Vivant. Looks good; orange with white lacing. Smells solid; grassy hops. Tastes okay, but a little grassy. Mouthfeel is average. Good, not great. The Belgian yeast doesn’t stand out as a smoothing agent, but it’s still good.

2012-07-08. Crisp golden amber body with tiny beige head. 3+ Flavour is mild, cereally grainy malt, light bitterness. 6+ Lightly yeasty, grassy cereal notes, light "Belgianness" to it, sweet caramel malt notes. Sort of an earthy quality to the hops. 6+ Average bodied palate. Just okay. Can from Cloverleaf, Royal Oaks, Michigan

Pours hazy copper with a sizable, light-tan head that sticks around for awhile. Aroma is dominated by floral hops, with hints of pine and yeast. Flavor of biscuit, light caramel sweetness, grassy hops, slight citrus. Mildly spicy and bitter finish. Light-bodied. Somewhat sweet, a bit thin, not tremendously hoppy...but delicious, well-balanced, and very drinkable.
