3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can, shared by ryan: Pours a clear pale bronze with a spotty-lacing ring of white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with some mild grassy and citrusy hops. Starts with pretty good fullness and light effervescence with some pale malty sweetness and a touch of clove spice before a drier earthy bitter finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint-size can. Poured fiery medium-orange with a tall, sticky white head. The aroma picked up orange rind and fruity yeast, joined by white pepper and cloves.. sweeter, honeyed undertones.. sweet overall, and fairly enjoyable. The flavor found sweet caramel, crusty bread, and honey at the core, with spiced-up darker fruity yeast laced throughout.. the yeast worked a little too hard in here, but it was still alright.. dry, spicy finish. Medium-bodied with too much carbonation on the palate.. again the yeast presence was a little strong.. decent brew.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Spicy, almost funky. The hops dont dominate it. HAd it on tap and thought it was a good funky belgian but not quite ipa territory. Can. More metallic and vegetal but a very topical aroma and pleasant bitterness. upped from 3.1.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 oz can. (Siciliano’s) Grand Rapids, MI.
Tea-like bitterness, mild tart fruitiness and mild bitterness in the aroma.
Mild bitterness, mild yeast and some malt in the flavour. What Belgian IPA? Yeast IPA... that’s what it is. But not bad.

Can. Pours a clear orange with a slight earthy amber hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet citrus with a hint of grassy hops and just a bit of sweet grains. 3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at the brewery (Grand Rapids, MI). Pours a rich amber orange hue, darker with a gentle haze. Mellow carbonation, frothy offwhite head dies as a ring, laces ok. Very nice glow in body and edges. Aromas throw gentle fruit, a bit of ester, some firmer grapefruit and lemon. Gentle florals, mellow bitter hoppy nose to start but it is a bit cold. A bit more fruit, oranges and rind throw into the fold as we move on. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter with a firm hop presence. Fuzzy peach, firm grapefruit, lemon rind. Some good floral dryness, decent to medium bitterness hits the palate off the bat. Firmer dryness, the malt body is bready, a touch toasty and carmelized. Firm dryness carries on into the middle, a good bitter hop presence provides synergy. But a firm malt bill also offers some balance. Bread, dry earthy hop presence continues to present itself. Backend is much more dry, light bodied. Some soap, florals, decent citrus but it’s definitely not the focus. Finish is dry but not overly so, fairly clean, a gentle Belgian yeast presence and touches of fruit move on. Pretty nice Belgian IPA. Really goes through the motions. Not a hop screamer but integrates it’s hops and what it has quite well. Nice beer.
