3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Strykzone (3132) - Wood River, USA - OCT 7, 2011
16 oz. can bought on a trip to Michigan. This has a huge fluffy off white head that leaves powdery lacing. The beer is clear amber. I smell pine and citrus hops with some caramel malt and spice. This beer is hop forward especially with that citrus. Floral notes. Some yeast is tasted but it is subtle as is spice. Caramel flavor and some toast. At the finish spruce lingers on the tongue. Good.

16 oz can. Pours amber with a white head. Light grassy, floral hop aroma. Flavor is similar, floral, grassy, hints of citrus hops. It’s an alright pale ale on its own, but I’m not sure where the "Belgian" is supposed to come in.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ryan (3068) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - APR 15, 2012
Herbal and slightly medical nose with light honey malt. Really quite hoppy, has to be hallertau, malt is a bit dull, really the only detracting point. Solid.

16oz can, shared by ryan: Pours a clear pale bronze with a spotty-lacing ring of white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with some mild grassy and citrusy hops. Starts with pretty good fullness and light effervescence with some pale malty sweetness and a touch of clove spice before a drier earthy bitter finish.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 GT2 (3953) - Washington DC, USA - APR 15, 2012
Can thanks to Ryan. Clear orange with suddy, white head. Weak lace. Nose is mild orange with celery. Taste is astringent, resinous, quite dry. Straightforward. Not a lot of yeast character. Normal citrus and astringent IPA.

16 oz. can pour into my Paulaner stein. A slightly above average Belgian IPA. Had on tap at Duke’s Canoe Club in Portland, MI in July ’11, much better on tap. Maybe having it out of a can turned me off slightly, still getting used to canned crafts.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sammy (6119) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2012
Pleasant IPA, an American IPA moderated by the Belgian yeast flavour. Light coloured body and light coloured though substantive head. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty good drinkability.

Can. Clear amber, thin head. Strong hop aroma like a traditional IPA but with more sweetness from the yeast. I enjoyed this and would definitely have again.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (4829) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 14, 2012
Sample at Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and yeast. Medium body with flavors of grapefruity hops, yeast and malt. The finish is mildly hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rando7 (488) - Iowa, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Pours clear dark yellow with foamy off-white head. Aroma Belgian yeasts with citrus hops, some sweet light fruits. Taste sweet malts and Belgian yeasts, spices, light fruits. Finish mostly pine and citrus hops. Palate medium body, carbonated, very slight stickiness.
I am not a big hop lover but this was pretty well balanced and a refreshing beer.

This poured a darker cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of belgian yeasty notes, and some citrusy and dusty hops. Flavor was much the same a bit sweet, and candy like with almost enough hops to make it balanced. OK
