16 ounce can thanks to Bradley. Big and yeasty. Orange and citrus. Is that different from the other one I had? Ok overall.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2013 Spicy, almost funky. The hops dont dominate it. HAd it on tap and thought it was a good funky belgian but not quite ipa territory. Can. More metallic and vegetal but a very topical aroma and pleasant bitterness. upped from 3.1.

Pour from can. Tastes sweet, grassy. Mellow on the hops. Smooth and fruity finish.

Had a draft at their brewery. Super fruity and oily sate. No head. Boring. Wouldn't get again

Grand Rapids can. The can mentions a tulip glass but it also tastes good in a plastic Hampton Inn glass. Good base IPA but honestly missing the Belgian side of it. Tasty but not necessarily unique.

16 oz can. (Siciliano’s) Grand Rapids, MI.
Tea-like bitterness, mild tart fruitiness and mild bitterness in the aroma.
Mild bitterness, mild yeast and some malt in the flavour. What Belgian IPA? Yeast IPA... that’s what it is. But not bad.

16oz can from the Deli Lama in Lake Villa. Pours an orangey copper with a white head. Some streaks of lace. Aroma has spices and pine and plastic. Maybe citrus. Taste is of tangy spicy yeast, pine and resin. Some malt chasing way underneath. Light to medium bodied. Some alcohol. Finishes long and tangy sweet with a bitter undercurrent. Interesting. Too many guns in the wrong direction -- in the belgian-y line opposed to the ipa-ish line.

On tap at the brewpub. Translucent medium orange body, thin off-white head. Grassy hops nose with lots of clove and banana; bready and candy-like. Body of a typical Belgian IPA, grassy and estery with clove, banana, and light fruit and a relatively thin, grassy finish.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
16 oz can
A: spicy yeast and alcohol, toasty malts, American hops that are not well defined-muddled
T: spicy, malty more bready then toasty, again with muddled American hops
Overall the beer is worth a taste, nothing really wrong with it. A nice balance between the malts, yeast, and the bitterness.
