3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy orange with slight amber hue, medium white head, decent lacing. Aroma of bread, yeast, citrus, orange, and spices. Flavor matches well and finishes with a slight alcohol warmth and a bit more tartness than I was expecting from trying some of their other saisons. Very solid.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can : Pour is murky gold, with a feint white head into this glass - it disappointingly fades to a light ring in this glass. The nose is heavy citrus, baked bread, moving to that spicey peppering note as you would expect based on the description. There’s a hint of booze as well. The flavor profile is light bittering hops initial, moving to heavy citrus - it’s nearly off putting. The "funk" is mild at best - another American take on a Belgian, and that’s ok, while it moves to a sweet finish line and a peppery finish .This brew has a heavy mouth feel, and the imperial saison feeling is different, not completely appealing. This is a brew that begins well for me but becomes something that becomes more difficult to drink with every sip.

The Zaison pours a mostly hazy wheaty golden yellow with a brief bubbly off-white head. The aroma is strong on the peppercorn with a bit of orange. The flavor is peppercorn initially with orange and citrus shining through later and into the aftertaste. Overall this is pretty nice brew.

Pours a light gold with a thick white head. Aroma of funk, saison yeast, spices and citrus. Taste is tart, malty, wheat, spices and alcohol. A bit too alcohol forward but this is an imperial saison.

Tasted at RBSG grand tasting. 16oz can. Mostly clear golden color. Virtually no head. Medium to bigger body. Smooth kind of soft lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Nice mild belgian saison fruity character. Moderate earthy black pepper flavor. Moderate sweet. I dig it!

Can purchased at Siciliano’s. Clear gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, mild tartness and herbs. Malty flavor with a distinct berry character and some booziness before a tart and bitter finish.

A 9% saison?!?!?! dark cloudy orange. Smells like BBQ potato chips. Salty, spicy with a bit of citric acid and potatoes. Taste is loaded with flavor, lots of adjuncts and a minor booziness. The peppercorn overwhelms everything else sadly. Falls short at the finish. couldn’t get through the can sadly.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 oz. can from Binny’s, Lincoln Park, Chicago. Hazy amber color showing zero head retenetion after the pour. Nose and taste is much like a Belgian pale. Nose is a solid amount of dried fruits and pale malt sweetness. Also lots of orange zest. Orange peel/ zest is upfront in the flavor with dried fruit and sweet grain in the center of the beer. Fruit reenters with palate with light mild pepper in the finish. Medium body leaning on yeasty thickness. The only thing that distract me from this beer is a light lingering sourness that makes me question the freshness of the beer. And of course yet again, no bottle on or born on date, so no way to really know with doing a ton of brewery research. Anyhow… over all good, not great. This is a much better example than this brewery’s Farm Hands Saison I had directly in front of this.
