330 ml bottle from beer-shop.it served in a tulip glass. Rich canary yellow, slightly hazy, with a huge, forever lasting, fluffy white head. Excellent lacing. Earthy nose, typical saison smell but much more hoppy, more refined and less rustic I’d say: light spices (clove, chamomile, pepper), bread crust, some herbal/medicinal presence, fruity but not too yeasty. Definirely some light lemon tartness in the mouth, again quite fruity (some citrus), good malty sweetness with just a little hint of alchool warming. Bitter and spicy aftertaste. Lively carbonation and medium body. Very good!

Draught. Hazy yellow beer has a thin but lacy head. Spicy yeasty aroma, barn yard, brett, loads of fresh fruitiness both from galaxy and yeast. Slight grassy note. Dry, crisp maltiness, medium body. Nice bitterness all the way. Maybe slightly alcoholic in the finish. Fresh example of the style, but it won’t reach the intensity of the best.

Bottle from Beermoth, Manchester. Pours a lovely vibrant, slightly hazy yellow colour with an initially thick and soapy head which dissipates into a thin coating on the top. Aroma is citrussy and orange, slightly white wine. Taste is slightly sour but very refreshing, picked up hints of citrus and pine with a medium bitterness to finish. Can imagine sinking several of these on a hot summer’s day; very nice.

33cl bottle from Grand Cru, Rimini. It pours hazy pale yellow with a huge soapy white head. Actually, this beer is a mild gusher. Aroma is hops, citrus, orange peel, brett, funk, black pepper, violets, white wine. Great. Taste is complex and refreshing with white wine, hops, citrus peel, orange zest, flowery and peppery, brett and funk, farmhouse character. Medium mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Overall, very very good hoppy saison.

200ml, tap at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Cloudy golden body, spotty lacing, white filmy layer. Gentle aroma of citrus, very fresh. Hints of vanilla as well. Peach, apricot and mandarin to the taste profile that also brings a little malty sweetness, lightly spiced. Fresh fruit bitter ending, half-dry. Dangerously easy to drink and easy to like (Copenhagen 08.12.2013).
