On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pitch black color, with a small, tan ring. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate, mild roast coffee, grains, molasses, and a bit of anise. Very sweet, roasty, and just a touch of bitterness. Heavy body, very creamy and thick. This is a smooth and decadent stout. Best I could tell, the noodles only added some breadiness to the aroma and a thick palate.

33cl bottle at De Cervesia, Lucca on 20-Aug-2016. Dark brown, almost lack in colour with a thick beige coloured head which thins relatively quickly. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Full bodied and softly carbonated. Awesome flavour of bitter cocoa, coffee beans, roasted malt and a little spicy heat. Lightly hopped sweet silky smooth finish. Lovely collaboration from 2 great breweries.

Drank 26-8-16 while reading in Raymond Feist’s "Daughter of the Empire". Very nice, rich, coffee taste. More explicit and balanced than most beers that are coffee-dominant. This approaches Struise’s Coffee Club. Well done.

Bottle in Seattle, found locally but recommended by by Mr Ippopotamo himself. Oily black pour with thick tan foam that lingers in a gorgeous ring. Anise and balsamic aroma (am I thinking too Italian?). Gorgeous thick body with alcohol overtones. Flavorful, clean, sharp, lots of dark depth but very drinkable and sharp flavors. Delicious.

Bottle 0.33l sample at Amsterdam Craft Beer Fest 2016 Bret. Taste with Zlotta. 10.06.2016. Pour it dark color with small brown head. Aroma roasted coffee beans really intense nice. Taste roasted coffee, dark chocolate, spicy chilli in a trace, silky feel, leather, smooth texture, milky finish, medium to full body, long after taste of coffee. Nice one!
