Draught @ BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Chalky yellow, little head. Cat pee nose! Dry and fruity, not overly sweet. Complex, ultra dry hop finish.

330 ml bottle from Domus Birrae. Dark canary yellow, pretty hazy, with a small, non persistent white head. Smells fresh but not hoppy, there is certainly a grape presence, a little funk, maybe some dust/cat piss hop notes, a hint of lemon/lime peel. Little astringency, small acidic edge, very mild bitterness. Sharp, citric, grapey and yeasty aftertaste. Average carbonation, light to medium body, slightly creamy texture. Weird, there is almost no IPA resemblance, some saison-like qualities and lots of Belgian influence. Different.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Big grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light spice. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light spice and light brett.

Pour is quite creamy lifting up a pillowy white froth that lasts. Body is hazy, messy and suffering from a bad case of the floaties. Deep, pastel yellow in colour. There is a lot of rose musk and floral perfume on the nose peaking out amongst a wash of grapefruit and blood orange citrus notes. Palate is similarly creamy with a peppery carbonation to it that tickles the very tip of the tongue. Fruity, with hop and ester notes dominating a subtle, dusty malt profile. Citric fruit tang, sourness and supple bitterness late that is lasting. Plenty of grapefruit, navel and blood orange with inklings of peach and unripened honeydew. A touch of untreated pine and Semillon grapes offer a light astringency. Very much a thirst quencher which is what Im hoping Brewfist and To l were aiming for. Otherwise this one could just fade into the overpopulated runway of pale ales currently swamping the market. Not bad, but not great! (33cL, BB 30/03/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Pours gold with a large white head. Nose shows grape, bubblegum, clean sweet malt, a lychee-like Nelson sauvin character and a faint hint of wheat. Some of the grape transfers through as a flavour followed by a soft whine note and a fairly reasonable bitter and slightly boozy finish. Light body, carbonation could be a little higher.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale gold, with a medium off-white head, which lasts well and leaves decent lacing. White grape, resin hops, spice and white bread malt make up the aroma. Citrus hops make for an interesting combination with sweet grape up front. Grape fruitiness persists into the mid-palate, where it is joined by a little white bread malt. Resin hops and white grape make up the finish. Odd, but not too bad.

Hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and crisp. Light airy malts, touch of cream. The light malt sweetness is a nice counterpoint to the fairly bitter hops - orange marmalade and yellow grapefruit. Some pith. Finishes crisp with a long bitter linger. Robust and very nice.
