Imperial IPA estremamente luppolata. La combinazione di luppoli americani e oceanici nasconde perfettamente il grado alcolico. Quando ti accorgerai che sarŕ 9,5% sarŕ ormai... 2Late!

Bottle from Drink in Fulham. Pours cloudy amber/dark orange with a thick white head that fades moderately quickly. Aroma is tropical fruit, like five alive. Pine, malt, Citrus, peach, resin and grapefruit. Flavor is moderately bitter with a long finish. Full bodied and quite alcoholic.

From Craftissimo. Translucent amber with fine white head and legs. Smells very juicy, crisp but bready malt, maple syrup, pineapple, faint hop. Tastes of malt, grassy/piney bitter hop, spice. Body is slick and fizzy. Tasty DIPA that's both crisp and juicy.

HKdIPA (194) - HONG KONG - JUL 9, 2014
Bottle from Craftissimo at home. Hazy deep amber pour. Juicy malty grapefruit aroma. Taste is bitter and sweet with pine and fruit hops. Big hops flavor - pineapple with a strong sort of piney bitterness. Sweet malts too - a bit too sweet for me maybe. Very solid DIPA (like an imperial, more bitter version of De Molen's Bergamot IPA).

On Tap @Solobirra, Monza. Pours a small dense white dense head; deep orange colour, bit hazy. Smell is very sweet, malty and fruity but also with a typical very piny, hoppy and citrus note. Flavour it’s actually quite on the sweet side, at least initially: fruits, malts, pineapple and caramel leaving space to a hoppy, piny and biscuity bitterness. Medium/full bodied, oily mouthfeel, almost soft carbonation. A DIPA which is overall moderatly bitter, more on the sweet malty side than the pure hoppy, at least compared to many others of its category(maybe sweet fruity hops? :@). Actually in my opnion it has a nice bitter/sweet balance, and good drinkability. Very nice Italian Double IPA

330 ml bottle from Birra+. Dark sunrise orange, slightly hazy, with a small, creamy and moderately persistent white head. Fresh and intense nose, quite citrusy and lemony, but slightly tropical as well. Pine needles, sticky resin, light caramel/toffee, no trace of the alchool. Completely different in the mouth. Much more sweet than bitter, solid sticky caramel malt presence, light alchool warming, fruity (red berries/citrus) in the aftertaste. Quite chunky and big, but not too difficult to drink. Soft to average carbonation, medium to full body, creamy texture. Decent, but it seems more like a hoppy barley wine, than a typical DIPA.

aroma assurdo..perfetta deve essere stata la combinazione di luppoli in dry hopping..risultato eccellente..gusto abbastanza standard ma comunque non invadente..dove sono i 9,5°?molto buona

Murky color of honey and smells strange, boild shrimp with mango and pine resin. And the taste is bit too sweet, not so bitter as IBU 90 , mandarin, resin, mango, carbonation. A bit of a joker character but not terrible. The taste provides food for thought.

Bottle from Stockmann alcoholic beverages department (€ 4,75 + 0,08) in Tallinn, May 2014. Have been looking forward to this. Pours dark, almost brownish gold with a thin off white head. Looks good. The lush aroma is nearly over ripe tropical, sweet and caramelly, earthy, slightly spicy, giving off some notes of saltiness recalling falafels (WTF really). Sweetens as it warms - mango, pineapple, but also pine resin, and later alcohol too. A light but tight (ballerina) body; rather low in carbonation. I can’t get over the intense sweetness in taste, it’s really overwhelming, only complimented by a bittersweet (blood orange-like) finish, although the 90 IBU’s sounds indeed too much. Near the end the initially hidden alcohol steps into bright light. It’s a good summer or early autumn evening "dessert", better shared with a companion (because of sweetness and ABV, but also pricetag).
