Milk Chocolate Stout

Malti: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Pale Chocolate, Wheat, Oat, Monaco, Vienna
Luppoli: Magnum

Dedicata a coloro che hanno paura delle birre scure. Dolce, complessa, ma beverina. Il lattosio e le fave di cacao la rendono morbida e profumata. Una birra per golosi...

W aromacie faktycznie mleczna czekolada. Delikatne nuty kakao i kawy. Piwo jest czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Dość kiepska piana, szybo opada. W smaku piwo jest dość nijakie. Praktycznie brak mleczności. Jest słaba nuta czekolady. Jest dość wodniste, przez brak słodyczy. Zakończone delikatną goryczką. Ogólnie spodziewałem się czegoś znacznie lepszego.

Bottle. Very dark pour that looked a bit thin going into the glass. Highly carbonated head. Mild roast and lactose smell and taste. Very carbonated on the tongue.

Medium brown color. Lots of lactos and chocolate in nose. The mouth is too light, sweet malty, slightly unbalanced, not that interesting. Meh.

Gusher. Beige head with about coca-cola black body. Poor lacing. Aroma; caramel, chocolate, tart. Taste; chocolate, sweet liquorice, roasted malts and flourish coffee notes. A bit dry, ok body. Finish is half dry, not longlasting. [33cl brown bottle, abv5.2%, #L4081 BB20 02 15]

Brouwerij (943) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Bottle. Pours dark brown with big, pillowy tan head that settles in minutes. Essentially no lacing. Aroma is toasted malt, toffee, lightly nutty, Flavor is light chocolate, toffee, with a sweet, cocoa, toasted malt, raspadura, caramel finish and a mildly bitter aftertaste. Flavor is simple and mild, perhaps a little stale. Soft to moderate carbonation, medium-light body, and smooth texture. Feels a little thin.

Bottle: Deep brown with a huge, creamy, light brown head. Solid chocolate milk aroma. Creamy, lactic, chocolate malt taste. Light....a little cola note in the flavour. Very sweet...good, but finishes a bit weak.

Kauge (366) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 6, 2014
Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja (€ 3,90) in Oct 2014. BB Feb 2015. Pours a semidark brown while appearing near black in the glass; it has a massive tan head that drops quite fast and leaves no lacing. Nose is pungent sweetness of the chocolaty malts, some cocoa and faint roastiness. As it warms it acquires some hints of dark berries and maybe even black olives. Or something. Taste begins with a restrained bittersweetness, continues with a more roasty and chocolaty aspect, while finishing malty / wheaty and dry. Body medium. Would’ve expected a softer palate. Carbonation disturbingly fizzy.

I should have drunk this much quicker - not good as it’s stood and warmed for some 15 minutes. In terms of other Brewfists I’ve had - except for Czech Norris - this here is quite a disappointment. May partly be due to my non-liking of the style.
