Milk Chocolate Stout

Malti: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Pale Chocolate, Wheat, Oat, Monaco, Vienna

Dedicata a coloro che hanno paura delle birre scure. Dolce, complessa, ma beverina. Il lattosio e le fave di cacao la rendono morbida e profumata. Una birra per golosi...

330ml bottle from Tomlinsons. Pours a dark brown with no head. Minimal aroma, slight hazelnut, chocolate and cough drop. Also, a tad herby. Tastes like a very watery chocolate milkshake (as you’d expect, I suppose). Floral, and bit oily on the palate. Bitter, light body. Not offesnsive but I’ve definitely tasted better from Brewfist.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Vika (Oslo). Sweet smell with milk chocolate and currant. Similar taste, mostly milk chocolate. High carbonation, too high at first but settled after a while.

Highly carbonated. Certainly sweet but not overly, the carbonation .... lots of bubbles .... helps to stop cloying. Some chocolate but not that much. Nice but not outstanding.

33 cl bottle from vinmonopolet vika. Pours dark brown with a small brown head.. Aroma of chocolate and liquorice. Taste is smooth liquorice and chocolate, medium carbonated, but a bit dull. Easy to like this one but also a bit thin and boring.

Idiosynkrasie (4916) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JAN 26, 2013
330ml bottle. Darkest reddish brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with notes of chocolate and unroasted coffee. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of chocolate, mocca, a parallel sourish touch is present; slightly "crumbly" mouthfeeling due to particulate matter.

0.33 L bottle ordered from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. A finger of big-bubbled tan head, over a translucent dark ruby brown body. Dryish cocoa and nutty malts to the nose. A light chocolatey scent maybe, but its hard to pin-point. Light body. Slick mothfeel. Light sweet, light peppery, light roasty malt base. Firm bitterness. Some chocolate malts in a quite short finish. Drinks good.

Bottle from Ninas Edinburgh 120113
Jet Black, thick tan bubbly head, reasonable lacing
Aroma - soft dark malts, dab of chocolate, touch of roast, soft aroma
Taste - Mellow fairly sweet dark malts, mellow smooth chocolate, smooth flavour, some milk sugars, very little roast, uncomplicated flavour, very easy drinking
Palate - Medium carb, medium body, very oily, smooth texture. Palate - not too sweet, almost no bitterness. FInish as main flavour, rapid with a slightly gooey linger
Overall - Very easy drinking chocolate stout - too mellow in flavour to be honest but it’s decent enough
