3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at home. Pours a black colour with a big frothy brown head. Nice and powerful roasted aroma with coffee, dark wood, dark bitter chocolate, hint of smoke and some lactose. Lighter flavours of roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. Slick and sparkly mouth feel. Bitterness = light+. Wonderful aroma but more easy in the mouth. A really nice and easy-drinking milk stout.

Put off a little by the smell but it turned out to be good. Dark and deep red. A little thin perhaps.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice stout, pitch black poor. As would be expected chocolate flavor comes through on a background of tasty roasted malts that add to the chocolate and add a slight hint of coffee. Easily drinkable and enjoyable.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle. There is a seriously deep tan head of thick foam. The beer itself is teak to black in colour with mildly bitter dark chocolate and roasted malt aromas. Sweet and bitter in the mouth at the same time, makes for a stout that is easy to drink and makes you want to o back for more.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle thanks to unstablefable. Pours opaque black with a decent head which disappears a bit quick. The nose has something slightly smokey/earthy with a slight creamy but not the sweet creamy notes I was expecting. The taste has a real smokiness with the liquorice thing again. The palate is medium bodied at least with a dry but medium textured with a dry and quite elegant finish. Overall, I don’t think this is a milk stout, maybe closer to a dry stout. It’s good though!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Reddish brown black, thin beige head with some lacing as it fades to a thin ring. Nice brooding dark chocolate nose, restrained smoky coffee, hot cocoa, soft roast barley. Dark chocolate, touch of vanilla, burnt toast, roast barley, very soft vegetal lacto. Prominent roasty coffee bitterness. Slight carbonation prickle, slightly thinner body than expected. Straightforward but tasty.
