Bottle from Birratrovo, Como, bb 30.06.12 L 1403
Dark brown color, near black, with huge head. Very nice aroma of dark chocolate and roasted nuts, delicate and elegant. The mouthfeel is quite weak, but smooth enough; flavor of caramel with moderate roasted malt, and rather low bitterness.
A pleasant Sweet Stout.

Half pint, draught at the one and only Ma Che Siete Venuti where it was served at the right drinking temperature. Near black body with a brownish shade. Film-type layer at the top, laces well. Aroma of earthy, sweet malts with notes of chocolate. Mix of coffee, chocolate and lactose in the taste profile, partially offset by dark, fruity hops. Easy drinking. Nice (Roma, 30.03.2012).

BBF de barril. Negra amb notes de xocolata i un punt de lactosa. Pel meu gust li falta cremositat i cos. Massa lleugera. Correcte.

Pours black and looks light bodied. Big thick brown head. Smells like sweet cream, powdered sugar and light coffee. Taste is mild bitter and a lot sweet. Nice sweet finish as well. Mouthfeel is crisp yet smooth and great length on aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fa. Black with orange tints and a low head. Nose of milk, burnt caramel, vanilla. Lightly roasted, but nothing as much as coffee, brown sugar, huge caramel. Flavor is sweet and milky with caramel and chocolate, light berries. Sweet but quite tasty. Lightly burnt, bitter finish. Nice.

330ml bottle. Pours a dark brown, nearly black, with a beige head. Heavily roasted aromas, chocolate, coffee, vanilla (?), malt, hops. Semi-sweet, full bodied, medium bitterness, creamy CO2. Very smooth, velvety taste, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, hops, hints of licorice. Very balanced, and more-ish. (2012-02-29)

UPDATED: APR 22, 2013 Aroma di malto tostato, al palato risulta essere troppo dolce, il lattosio si fa molto sentire e non viene voglia di berne un altra. Visto la qualità di Brewfist mi aspettavo di meglio. Secondo assaggio 22-04-13 Aroma di malti tostati, caffè’, liquirizia, cioccolato. Molto elegantemente uniti tra loro. Al palato prevalenza di caffè e cioccolato con finale amaro da tostatura e leggero luppolo. Non in netta evidenza, come invece nell’assaggio precedente, il lattosio. Bottiglia certamente + fortunata!

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Very dark red-brown beer. Short lived tan head. Light dry palate. Mild dark malt with a little coffee. Mild hop. Sans chocolate!! Dry finish. Slightly dull !

Bottle at Isola Della Birra, Milano. Color dark black with huge brown lasting head. Aroma malt, roasted, light chocolate. Taste sweet, light bitter, chocolate, caramel.
