Milk Chocolate Stout

Malti: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Pale Chocolate, Wheat, Oat, Monaco, Vienna
Luppoli: Magnum

Dedicata a coloro che hanno paura delle birre scure. Dolce, complessa, ma beverina. Il lattosio e le fave di cacao la rendono morbida e profumata. Una birra per golosi...

Bottled 27/12/13. A black beer with an off-white head and a little lace. Lots of carbonation. Nice chocolate in the nose and chocolate and veg in the mouth. A bit harsh and lacking silkiness like most chocolate stouts have. No lactose notes wither. Itís only just OK as thereís an unsatisfactory element.

Draught. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing white head. Hazy brown body. Sugary and sweet coffeeroasted mat, cream caramel aroma. Heavily carbonated light metallic roasted malt coffee cocoa flavor. Thin bodied, watery rather boring.

Bottle from Glug, Newcastle. This is a hazy dark brown-black beer with strong chocolate and coffee flavours, vanilla notes and more milk chocolate on the finish.

Draft. A black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of lacto, milk, roasted malt, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, lacto sugar, and chocolate, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle, 330 ml. Into a snifter. ABV 5.2% Black colour on the body, big brown head, kind of froathy, average retention, mostly because of its size. Small foam islands on the beerís surface and light lacing around the glassís walls after the head collapses. Aroma is sweet, of roasted malts, cold coffee and milky chocolate. Taste or roasted malts. Coffee, mainly on the finish and the aftertaste. The milky chocolate of the aroma is still here but weaker now. Mild bitterness coming from the roasted malts, lingers for a good amount of time. Thin on the body, high carbonation, also with a fizzy feeling on the tongue. Dry on the palate though. Overall okay, a bit weak on the taste, especially after the initial impression it gives with the aromas.

A little thin and carbonated but a very impressive taste and aroma of chocolate. More than others Iíve tried such as Brooklyn Chocolate or Cocoa Psycho

Bottle. Almost black, against the light dark brown. Great brown foam, lacing glass. Aroma of milk chocolate, some sweet coffee with milk, roasted malts. Smooth taste, bitter and sweet in this same time. Notes of milk chocolate, coffee, some roasted malts. Medium body with medium carbonation. Smooth texture - nice, drinkable beer.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2013 Hmm. This thing fools you into thinking its thicker than it is. With the toned back bitterness of the "milk" chocolate it introduces at silkiness that masquerades as body. Smells like chocolate milk. Good stuff.
