Very dark reddish brown, almost black. Smells of toasted malts and powdered coffee. A lot of chocolate taste, some toasted notes and a good amount of sweetness. Very light hops, good aftertaste.

Bottle. Dark brown, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, light roasted malt, some (milk)chocolate. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, some (milk)chocolate. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, light roasted malt and some (milk)chocolate, faint hoppyness. Interesting but too sweet and “milky” for my taste.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
@ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of milk chocolate, very pleasing. Clear, very dark ruby black color, oversized rocky tan head, bands of lace. Taste is mild chocolate malt that, while quite satisfying, just isn’t big enough to make this a winner. It is easy to quaff, and has no deficits. Still, comes up good, but short.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours in black body with high creamy tan head that’s gone within few minutes. The aroma has roasty character right in front, dominated by the roasty, in the background, there is some dark chocolate, cold coffee notes. Taste has medium roasty sweetness with very light earthy bitterness, buttery sweet notes with coffee character. Not as much chocolate as I’d like but still highly drinkable. After taste has some acidity. Body is light, carbonation medium, quite dry.

Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and some fruit. Dark brown to black with a red tint. Tan head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a lively carbonation. Overall a good stout, but the carbonation should be softer in my opinion.

Dark, see through some red hue with light, beige head. Aroma gives some sweet chocolate, rye, and some citrus. Taste is licorice, very suttle lactose, rye, some roast, and cocoa. A bit too carbonated but very well balanced, and great mouthfeel

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black pour, silky cream colored head. Creamy lactose aroma with a bit of coffee. Flavor is a nice smooth chocolate and cherry foundation up front with lots of cream and maybe a little anise on there somewhere. Has a little of a cola finish with a pruney sweetness. Flavor is definitely on the sweet side, but the mouthfeel is light and somewhat watery. Serves it purpose. I tend to enjoy the flavors of a milk stout no matter what flaws are there and this is a perfect example. Sweet, smooth, creamy and fruity. I'm not crazy about the finish, but it's still a nice beer to enjoy.
