Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light burnt malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, chocolate, caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110609]

From cask. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted chocolate and breadish malty. Lingering dark malty and breadish. Lasting liqourice and dark malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a thick and creamy beige head. Light chocolate roast aroma. Medium body, subtle roast and a little metal. Roasty finish. 271212

Draught@Euston Tap, London. Deep brown, close to black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, mild lactic notes as well as some liquorice and toffee. Flavour is being rather similar in a pleasant balance. Rather ashy notes as well towards the finish.

Bottle at Isola Della Birra. Black coloured with a medium sized beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel and dark chocolate. Light roasted finish. A bit watery.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Sweetish roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Bottle @ Mi Orge Mi Houblon, Arlon. Pours nearly black with a creamy head. Ashes, liquorice , Chocolate and roast. Smooth and soft. Slightly fruity acidic. Pleasant.

Dark brown color, near black, with huge head. Very nice aroma of dark chocolate and roasted nuts, delicate and elegant. The mouthfeel is quite weak, but smooth enough; flavor of caramel with moderate roasted malt, and rather low bitterness.
A pleasant Sweet Stout.

Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are sweet milky chocolate, roast malt and hops.

Bottle at The George and Dragon. Black - brown head. Milk chocolate. Nice burned malts. Dry bitter burned malts. Dark ditter chocolate. Ok hoppy. Very nice.
