Di color nero spento, opalescente con schiuma cremosa. Al naso, e anche in bocca, è di un amaro tostato delicato e sa di cioccolato. Di corpo watery, assomiglia molto ad una mild più che ad una stout.

Bottle. Dark brown. Roasty nose, with a bit of chocolate, dark berries and saltyish licorice. But quity dry roasty nose overall. Body lightish. Salt licorice, some coffee, dark fruits. Quite nice actually. Loads of flavours. A bit also of the milkshaky chocolate promised by the label.

Bottle. 5.2%. Best before 30.06.13. Pours a clear dark brown with a big, frothy khaki head. Good lacing. Sweetish, roasted roma with a remote note of coffee and a slightly dusty and tart overtone. Chocolate note as it warms. Further warming brings out a note of dark fruits and berries. Tart, roasted flavour. Remote metallic and cardboard note as it warms. Mildly bitter coffee finish, lingering latté note with a touch of chocolate. Light tart berry note as it warms. Overall okay, the finish is better than the initial flavour, which seems a bit dull. 28.04.13.

Bottle @ Home. Pours dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of malt, light smoke, little milk chocolate, coffee, boiled vegetables. Flavor is malts, light chocolate, green peas, vegetables. Medium body, soft carbonation, Best thing about this is looks and mouthfeel, MEH. 280413

A colablack beer with a weak and light brown head. Aroma is roasted, chocolate, some coffee, also hint of vegetables. Taste is balanced roasted, some liquirice, coffee, nice sweetness, also some bitterness in the aftertaste. Almost medium bodied, low carbonation, slippery to drink. Quite nice, but without a glow.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Very dark brown coloured brew with an very faint but definitely some sour taste. Hints of roasted malts, coffee and choclate. Good Milk Stout and i don’t get the label.

Alla spina. Impenetrabile color marrone scuro con uno strato mediamente spesso si soffice schiuma beige. Malto abbrustolito e cioccolato al naso; gusto mediamente dolce con note di caffè, cacao amaro e cereali. Corpo medio-lieve, struttura setosa, morbida, beverina. Discreta.

Bottle. Black with a beige head. Aroma and flavour of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, hops, smoke and fruity notes.

On tap in Roma. Strong coffee and chocolate notes in the nose with a faint spicy bitterness. Flavour is deep and rich with some tobacco smoke notes and some cocoa and coffee. Finish is well-balanced with some smokey treacle. Quite nice.

330ml bottle, present from a friend. Pours a dark ruby brown with a thin bubbly head that disappears quickly. Almost absent aroma, light molasses and bready hints, no chocolate whatsoever - not great. Medium bitterness and a very light smoky sweetness, better taste than aroma. Very light hint of chocolate, more watery molasses. Way too carbonated, yet a slightly thin mouthfeel. Not a chocolate stout as far as this drinker is concerned, and not a good stout anyway. Won’t be drinking this again.
