2nd September 2013
Opaque dark brown beer with a good pale tan head. Smooth palate with light fine carbonation. Smooth dark malt, no roast or bitterness. Nice dark malt cream. Pleasant mellow pine hops and a touch of red berry fruits. Smooth finish makes a smooth Black IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(33 cl bottle) Dark brown, beige head, some sediment. Licorice aroma (not too much), but luckily with a lot of herbal and resinous hops. Bitter, slightly sweet and sour taste. Oily texture, but thanks to the hops it does not appear too sweet and heavy. But it is intense - there’s really nothing thirst-quenching about it. A very good, enjoyable black IPA.

Bottle from Domus Birrae. Pours dark brown with a slight tan head. Aroma is chocolate and resin. (or could be citrus). Near full bodied. Flavor is dark malt, chocolate, maybe a hint of coffee, and a lot of hop that’s hard to pin down. Still going with pine or citrus. This is hoppy and bitter. Very tasty.
