3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma of pine and dew, a little smokey, pours a lively pitch black with light, caramel-colored head. Prickly carbonated, strong hop bitterness with gap to slightly sweet low end. Overall very well balanced and has some staying power. One of the better black IPAs.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black IPA molto corposa e impegnativa per la sua importante gradazione alcolica, agrumatissima e al palato molto persistente.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
330ml bottle from Redmonds. Deep brown black, big coffee creme coloured, rich and lasting head. Aroma is pine, spruce, zest, a touch of stewed fruit, coffee, chocolate roasted malt and a little smoke. Fantastic. Flavour is sweet roast malt, chocolate up front, followed by a rising hop bitterness, mellowing back into a burnt chocolate. Lush, smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonation, big body. Finish is nicely balanced between sweet chocolate coffee roastiness and underrated bitter hops. Another cracker from Brewfist.

sample at the Festival, brownish black pour, roast with hints of chocolate 7 coffee. grapefruit hops that fall victim to the heavier roastiness.
