refined, understated yet emphatic. hides its alcohol almost entirely, very subtle, very drinkable. if american ipas are aussie chardonnays, this is a chablis.

bottle at home bought at Braukunst Live, Munich. dark yellow, hazy color. small white head. smells of herbs, pines, grassy, some hidden fruits, grapefruit, smells astringent. medium to full body, medium carbonation, herbal taste, some sweetness, light sugary, grapefruit, orange, lychee, kiwi, lightly astringent. exotic fruity / light herbal bitter finish. quite good a bit too herbal for me. drinks quite easy though.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2015 Keg at Ushers. Pours clear amber. Nose is fruits, floral, orange. Taste is dryish bitter, fruits, grapefruit, citrus. A bit too dryish bitter for my taste. But quite good.

Good Italian (or come to that any) IPA. Not a big hit nose but a good hint of citrus fruit. Looks ok but not brilliant in the glass, the white head fades quickly and it looks like Lucozade. Excellent bitterness, perhaps with a little too much supporting carbonation, and a sweet undertone. Good one.

On tap at the Earl of Essex, London. Pours a dark golden, fruity and hoppy on the nose, taste of malty base with fruity notes through as well but malty base is the main element. Overall nice beer.

Tap @ Fermentoren. Pours hazy amber with a thick white head. Aromas of lots of hops, citrus, grass, citrus, orange peel. Taste is alike, more hops. Last pour of the keg, might not be so legit.

Best before 30 May 2015 as stated on the back of the bottle. Poured from a 330ml bottle into a La Chouffe tulip glass. The beer poured a nice copper orange with some haze caused by some small particles suspended. One finger white head. Citrus aromas hit first with some light pine and light caramel malt. Taste was bitter and malt with light grapefruit and some other citrus. Interestingly leaves a mango aftertaste. However the fruit flavours were not really strong and did not last long which was unfortunate. Light body with medium/high carbonation. Overall, the beer poured nice and smell kept me interested but I think the taste failed to live up to expectations from the initial pour. The taste just seemed to be missing something which was unfortunate as everything else seemed pretty good… except that taste is probably the most important… I probably wouldn’t buy this again.

Bottle from Tallinna Kaubamaja (€ 3.90). BB 30.05.2015 - not the most fresh bottle. Pours hazy orange, head is creamy and not very big, retention and lacing ok. Sweet peachy and grapefruity aroma, orange marmalade, caramel and biscuits. A bit musty. Taste biscuity sweet with a whole lot of resinous and citrusy ((blood) orange) bitterness. Body medium, carbonation soft with minimal prickliness, palate slick. Overall a decent modern IPA - nothing exceptional, and not very refreshing, but still very-very good.
