Bottle 33 cl, BBE 28.02.2014. Pours dark brown in color with a tan head. Strong roasted coffee notes, bit of old leather and burnt wood as well in aroma. The coffee notes are just awesome. Sweet cocoa powder and milk chocolate in taste, some bitterness too is present. Long-lasting chocolate and roasted notes in aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel. Incredibly tasty brew and easy to drink.

Draft. Small brown head atop black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, roast, some orange, light bittersweet chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, cocoa, some roast, light earthy, faint ash. Medium-full body, some stickiness.

Draft at the Local Taphouse in Sydney. Pretty much black color, off white or tan head. Aroma of unsweetened cocoa. Taste is nice coffee and pure cacao. Great body.

Pours a deep mahogany, with a brown head.
Roasted, yeasty aroma, chocolate, chestnut, coffee, yeast.
Semi-sweet, full bodied, mid to high bitterness, creamy CO2.
Roasted, spicy taste, chocolate, coffee, licorice, yeast, earth.
A bit rough around the edges, but quite nice. (2013-08-16)

On draft at Churchkey DC. Pours cola brown with a tan head. Chocolate and coffee nose. Flavors of cocoa and roasted nuts. Smooth and mellow mouthfeel.. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours a black body with a large creamy light beige long-lasting head. Nice. Nose is coffee, licorice, sweet malts, grainy caramel and hints of dark berries. Taste is smooth coffee, caramel, grains, dark malts and hints of dark berries, cocoa and brown sugar. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. A classic imperial porter, and one of the best from Brewfist so far that I’ve tasted.

Bottle. Black with a fizzy tan head. Sweet caramel, chocolate covered orange, and biscuit aroma and taste with a roasted grain finish and a slightly oily but still silky medium bodied palate.
