33cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Pitch black color, full sized beige to light brown a bit creamy head that lasts for a long time. Smell malts, dark malts, slightly earth, slightly hops. Taste malts, lightly roasted malts, chocolate, a light sweetness but a bitter finish as well. Nicely balanced, medium body and carbonation.

21/11 On tap @ La Cerveteca, Barcelona. It poured muddy dark brown, almost black body with medium sized brown head. Strong roasted coffee aroma. Flavor was lightly bitter, somewhat smooth milky and toasty, but still roasted, particularly like coffee. Medium to full in body with coffee and chocolate finish, ending even a little bit sweet. Again, alcohol was very well hidden. Easy going and a good imperial porter, although, admittedly a bit simple for my preference.

Draught: Very small creamy tan head, which changes quick into almost no head on top of a black colored beer. Smell charcoal, roast and coffee. Three strong smelling ingredients. Taste lots of roast, chocolate, tar, raisin, prunes, bitter, woodroast, coffee roast, coffee. Aftertaste is bitter, coffee, roast and dark chalky fruit. Low to medium carbo, spicy soft mouthfeel, medium body and a creamy texture.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2013 Assaggio dell’IBF Milano 2012....a fine serata...pochi ricordi, da riprovare ------- marrone scuro, schiuma beige, fine e poco persistente. Corpo pieno. Piacevole anche se pericolosa

Draught @ Gastropub Tuulensuu
Aroma is slightly sour with moderately salty licorice and coffee notes. Flavour is somewhat salty with licorice, some coffee notes and soy sauce. Reminds me of Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout. Too salty but good anyway.
