Bottle. Pours a black body with a large creamy light beige long-lasting head. Nice. Nose is coffee, licorice, sweet malts, grainy caramel and hints of dark berries. Taste is smooth coffee, caramel, grains, dark malts and hints of dark berries, cocoa and brown sugar. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. A classic imperial porter, and one of the best from Brewfist so far that I’ve tasted.

Bottle. Black with a fizzy tan head. Sweet caramel, chocolate covered orange, and biscuit aroma and taste with a roasted grain finish and a slightly oily but still silky medium bodied palate.

On tap @ Amudsen. This is a deep dark as good as black in the glass-one with a small dark brown light lacing top. Really smoky on the nose! Lots of chocolate and cocoa also. Really smoked this(?), did not expect it to punch me in the face like this. Well, a punch is perhaps exaggerating a bit. Licorice and dark roasted malts also. Smells interesting and it taste quite interesting also. Again, the amount of smoke was quite present, only in a more alcoholic way. Lots of liquid licorice and chocolate. Thick and chewy on the mouthfeel with a soft light prickling carbonation level. It’s slightly spicy as well. Feels like in drinking a dark hole in a way. Not sure if it enjoying the smoke as I should enjoy it, but it’s a flavorful beer this. 24.05.2013

Deep dark beer with big golden head and a little carbonation. Smells like licorice and coffee. Also licorice and coffee in the taste, along with some caramel notes and a pleasant bitterness.

Grifo. Vaso Flauta. Deliciosa. On-tap. Flute glass. Enjoyed on apr´13. Dark brown color headed by beige crown. Froth shows fairly good retention & leaves some spots on sides. Toasted & roasted malt aromas, hints of cocoa & licorice to the nose. Flavors as expected from aromas, Medium to full body. Moderate to soft carbonation. Bitter chocolate hues in the middle linger into a long bitter & herbal finish. Roasted coffee notes on the aftertaste. Delightful.

Zwaar dropwater. Intense complexe smaak. Iets te ’doorbakken’ gebrande smaak. Erg machtig.
