33 cl bottle from Dommus Birrae in Rome. Drank at home. Pours beach with almost no head. Strong roasted malt taste that I enjoy. I would describe as a stout taste with the thinner texture and palate of a porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle at home. BB 12/2015. dark brown color. rather big coffee-colored head. smells of spices, chestnuts, malty roast, some chocolate, light smoke note, caramel. full body, rather bubbly carbonation, rather bubbly mouthfeel. tastes of caramel, some malty roast, light bitter chocolate, some alcohol, light smoke notes, lightly sour. finishes dry and with roasted malt. good, but the carbonation obfuscates most of the taste (but also some of the alcohol), overall the taste is also a bit messy and too alcoholic. was expecting a bit more.

Deep black body. Okay roasted aroma but not totally impressive. In fact it’s a bit dimmed, albeit layered. Watery mouth feel for the abv and style. And it shows in the taste too, not quite the power we are entitled to. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Nearly black, seems clear. Small light tan head. Roasted aroma, some dark choc and hints if dark berries. Alcohol later on. Flavour has bittersweet licorice, coffee and hints of brown sugar. Solid mouthfeel. A little sticky with bitter light boozy finish.
