Bottle from Cervezorama 2.0, Madrid, batch L 2381, bb 30/09/13
Black color, with small head. Very nice aroma; bread and leather, with some dark chocolate, roasted malt and tobacco; hint of Bourbon. The mouthfeel is quite round, although it’s relatively dry for this kind of beer; very good flavor of chocolate with some roasted malt, light leather, light grain sourness, liquorice; correct bitterness. In the final (bitter and dryish) there is also a light milky note.
Very good.

Beer pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is full of notes of cocoa. Tastes of cocoa, roasted malts, and bitter. Has a nice long flavor on the tongue with bitter and finishes with a pleasant cocoa. Brewfist is fantastic yet again.

On tap at Crowbar. Pretty much black with a small beige head. Aroma of dark malt, dark fruits, dark chocolate and roasty notes. Medium sweet with lots of dark flavours and a quite dry and bitter finish. Balanced and very nice.

Purchased at La Cave a la Bulles in Paris, FR; enjoyed at home on a cool spring Saturday while watching baseball. Appearance is a dark black with a thin white head that rims around the glass. Aroma of roasted, bitter chocolate malt, I’m also getting a very faint mint aroma, maybe a little bit of coffee, smell is very nice. Taste is lightly bitter and goes down dry with roasted chocolate malt notes, not much carbonation. Pretty good stuff!

In bottle. Smells like grass and endives. Tastes like endives and charcoaled biscuit. A bit hoppy. A very well-balanced and tasty porter.

Bottle. Black. Loads of dry burnt rubbery salty licorice on nose. Body is full, salty roasty goodness. A bit oily, but bitter. Doesn’t pretend to be soft, easy, but rather agressive, handing out punches in all directions.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. A black brown-beer that pours with a thin tan head. It has very strong, rich liquorice flavours, milk chocolate notes, red fruit and coffee on the finish.
