3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tiggmtl (4475) - Vancouver, - MAY 15, 2011
Floral and sweet in the nose with some toasted malts notable. Clear mahogany brown body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled off-white head that lasts well and laces nicely. Toasted malts are apparent with some roasty bitterness in the finish. Flavour profile seems a bit one dimensional and simple. Medium body with soft creamy nitro texture. Sampled on tap at the brewpub.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sammy (6119) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 31, 2011
On tap at the bewpub. IBU merely 15. Reddish brown coloured body with a creamed head a la nitro. The taste is nitro, creamy but little tastes: a ittle tabacco, and off tastes. Sweet malty aroma.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 mnurda (784) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 30, 2011
Par of the sampler tray at the brewhouse. Light brown in colour. Nice malt flavor. Just the right amount of hops.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Powertrip (841) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 18, 2011
Sampled at the Whistler Brewhouse over lunch on 03/18/2011. Colour: Brown, expectadly, with gorgeous creamy brown head. Nose: sweet malt with a roasted background and also a lingering soapy-flowery presence that is by no means burdening. Taste: light sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Gentle roast, more soap, light roast coffee with fresh cream. Full of character but not the least bit heavy or over-bearing. Delciously creamy.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 manuchampions (1163) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 3, 2010
Sample at Whistler brewpub. Pours a clear chestnut brown with ample cream head. Aroma is very Burton on Trent with caramel notes. Taste has all the hallmarks of a Newcastle brown, the caramel, brackish water, medium long finish. It’s very good for the style but ultimately not very adventurous in the bigger picture. Good though all things considered.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 12, 2009
Nitro draft at the brewpub. Menu said 5% ABV, 15 IBU’s. Poured a clear light brown color. The head was beige with the thick, creamy characteristics of a nitrogenated beer. Smelled of pale malts and roasted nuts. medium bodied with a smooth nitro mouth feel. The flavor was malt dominated and reminded me of nuts and crackers. Not bad.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 29, 2008
(Draught) Sampler from the brewpub. Pours a near headless brown body. There is so little difference between the styles. Slightly below average for this style. 4/2/4/3/9
