(Draught) Sampled at the brewpub. Was the featured brew during the Canucks game. Lacking any porter resemblance. Marzipan, vanilla and mild mild chocolate. Poor. So sweet its disturbing. 5/1/3/2/7

Well, this appears to have been vastly improved since the last rating 2 years ago. Sampled at the pub in Whistler. Pours a deep brown/black with thin tan head. Aroma is vanilla and malt with slight hop presence. Taste is delightfully lush with typical porter notes accented by the vanilla. The cloying sweetness is not as evident in this batch and the flavour is well balanced. Perhaps a tad thin but that is to be expected with a less than 6% porter. Overall a very decent effort.
