A good IPA with a somewhat narrow hop flavor profile. It’s called a double, but the ABV is only 7.7%. The big bitterness is enjoyable, but a bit unbalanced.

Beer was bottles over 4 months ago, so take that into account. Poured okay, with some lacing. Aroma didn't have as much citrus and hoppyness as I expect from a DIPA. Beer is somewhat lacking in depth and flavor. Good bitterness with strong grapefruit peel on ending. That's about all I'm getting. I'll try it again when I can find a fresher bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle purchased at Whole Foods in Hadley. Pours a hazy amber golden with a white head and medium lacing. Big citrus hop aroma and grapefruit flavors. Taste is not very complex but this is still a very tasty IPA

A little disappointing since this is my local brewery (although it is actually brewed in nearby Holyoke). As noted, it’s orangey colored, has a thin head and the flavor is mainly bitter and hoppy. On the other hand it is light bodied, smooth drinking and has not the slightest hint of its 7.7% ABV. I will probably stay away from this one because it is unusually expensive for what it is. And, naturally, if I had brewed this myself, I would consider it the world’s greatest beer.

Bomber from Muckey’s. Pours out a hazy lemony yellow color. Frothy white head. Aroma and flavor of honey citrus and bread. Wheaty body. Belgian-like yeast. Easy drinking with a lingering bitterness.

22 from social wines. Pours with a thin and bubbly head, pale orange color. Cloudy. Looks delicious. Not much of a smell, expected more. Taste is great. My kind of IPA. With 93 IBUs, it's very hoppy but hits at the back end. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the Beer Shop, East Longmeadow, MA during a meet the brewer event, 19/05/13. Clear pale golden, whin off white head which clears to the edge and leaves a thin film. Nose is grain, hops, pale malt, citrus, light caramel. Taste comprises caramel malt, bitter orange, hops, light pine bite. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, light bitter notes in the finish. Ok drinkable stuff, but not really a DIPA in my book!

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a lacy, cream-colored head. Aroma of pale and light caramel malts, floral and slightly citrusy hops, and some dough. Flavor the same, with nothing standing out. Average texture. Not a bad beer, but nothing special.

Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a nice sized fluffy white head with moderate retention and lace. Smells of hops and caramel, no shit huh! citrus, pine, resin, bread and caramel are all represented in the nose. The flavor has a malty start with lots of bread and caramel with a hint of anise. The hops are definitely present and provide a smooth bitterness and nice hop flavor. Citrusy grapefruit provide most of the flavor with a nice resin batting cleanup. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a slick resinous mouthfeel. I’d never heard of this brewery before I spotted it in a store far from home. I’m glad I took a chance at this one, its a really nice old school feeling IPA.
