The world’s strongest beer at 65%. Ingredients include crystal malt, wheat, flaked oats and of course 100% Scottish spring water. We then freeze ferment the beer to bring up the ABV. Consume this like a fine whisky. Despite being 65%, the beer has a lot of flavour - malty, hoppy, slightly sweet and lots of yeast still in the beer. Be careful though, smelling it is probably enough to put you over the limit!

2cl @ Vihreä Haltiatar Pours cloudy orange with no head. Aroma is sweet, fruits and some caramel. Some alcohol. Flavor is caramel, alcohol malts and fruits. No way in hell this is 65 abv! More like 15.

Pours like blonde yeast gelatin suspended in a caramel malt felatin. Boy, this stuff is thick. The aroma is old textbooks and libraries reminiscent of college awesomeness. The texture is like 80w90 gear oil. It leaves clear sediment on the glass. The smell is that of a scottish ale with oak, peat and earth and more peat. Its decidedly smooth on the palate. Thick as pudding. Flavors of toffee, caramel, gelatin, and a hop syrup reduction abound. Amazingly drinkable if the strength advertisers true.

Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop. Pours clear dark amber with a small, creamy white off-white head. Aroma has caramel, sweetness, raisins. No carbonation, oily and dry mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, vinious, sharp, dry, horrible.

Well, I can say I had it. Aroma was sweet and malty and a little offsetting. The color was amber but had a lot of debris and this was from the beginning, not just the bottom of bottle. No head whatsoever. The palate was oily and smooth without carbonation. The flavors were mixed and a little unbalanced. It was boozy up front and not like a spirit, which is what I was expecting. Sweet malts with a slight hops bitterness but not that good. Regarding the 65% ABV, I would agree with the other reviewers. I highly doubt this beer meets the claim and that’s based upon how I felt after drinking a bottle.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ pre-TSODRBSG13 ], Ulfborg.

Clear light medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, dried fruit, earthy malt, caramel, sweet malt, sugary, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, earthy, wood, harsh bitter, tobacco, spruce. Body is medium to full, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. IMO. not even close to 65% more like between 15 & <20% [20130830]

Hazy amber color, no head. Fruity, apple, raisins aroma, like in Russian PET-bottle strong lagers. Medium-bodied. Very hoppy, salty, licorice in the finish. Green apple fruityness. Quite sweet, lacks alcoholic burn. As said, not 65%.

2 cl portion out of 330 ml bottle. O'Hara's, Tampere, Finland. Hazy brown colour with no head. The aroma is super malty with some caramel sweetness and The flavour is caramel and toffee and super maltiness. I can't believe this is 65%. It can't be... Alcohol is not present at all... And I had taste from two different bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

How: Bottle.
Where: SBWF 2013.
Appearance: Light brown colour with no head.
Aroma: Sweet caramel, hops. Very mild aroma with almost no alcohol to it.
Body: Medium body, no carbonation.
Flavour: Sweet caramel, sugar.
Comment: If it is as strong as it claims it hides the alcohol very well.
