3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Brownish beer with a very strong and frothy off white to light brown head. The aroma is very well hopped, and the flavour is very well hopped with heaps, and heaps of dense bitterness. Overall a nice very strongly hopped beer.

Almost clear deep amber beer. Mahoooosive pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy, semi dry. Smooth soft malt - some caramel and a little toffee. Touch of aniseed. Light lactose. Nice balance of mellow dried fruits. Finishes smooth. Drinks well below it’s abv (but do we trust this brewers abv’s?) and quite drinkable.

It wants to gush, but is tamed by careful handling of the cap.
Big beige head. Clear deep red body with carbonation. Fruity
mealy sugary aroma with herbal floral notes. Dry-sweet mealy
fruity sugary taste with herbal notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild,
fluffy mouthfeel. Sweetish earthy dried fruit aftertaste with
spicy herbal notes. Interesting, odd, unusual. I have no idea
what kind of beer this is. (0.5l bottle, from Kihoshk,

Bottledat SBWF. Cloudy copper colour, coarse head. Weird fruity nose. Sweet and fruity with cardboard, caramel, prunes and syrup. Sticky and unpleasant with no real redeeming features.

Pours dark amber with light off white head. Smells of smoke, peat, and malts. Tastes mainly of alcohol and smoke. Similar to a watered down scotch. Very flat.

Cask @ The White Lion in Heptonstall. Chestnut red creamy head. Has a very sweet character that goes a long way to hiding the absurd strength of this ale – it therefore remains tasty with a wild berry sweetness in both aroma and its flavours.

33cl bottle thanks to unstablefable.
Appearance - muddy brown colour with a good head. Looks like homebrew.
Nose - citrus an mountain but against a background of fruit cake.
Taste - more of the same but much thinner on the ground.
Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly decent.
Overall - interesting beer doesn’t quite taste like 10%.
