larsga (2142), Oslo, Norway Jul 23, 2006 Small white head, pale brown body with some carbonation. Caramel and cinnamon aroma, well balanced. Some fruity banana notes and faint roastiness. Watery banana caramel taste with dry cinnamon aftertaste. Nice roastiness. A decent beer, though not very like a blonde. (It was called Ete Blonde when I tried it.) (0.1l taster on tap.) Storm (2677), Amager, Denmark Sep 5, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber colour with laces. Soft light aroma of malt, spices and hints of yeast. Very soft flavour of malt, yeast, spices and with low carbonation, very nice and easy to drink. madsberg (4365), Bangalore, India Mar 24, 2006 Draught @ the brewpub: Light golden coloured. Unclear. Off white medium sized head. Yeast, sweetness, some fruits and a light spicein the nose. Flavour of light banana, light spice, yeast and light fruit. Is medium bodied. Quite intriguing spicy fruityness in the end. Nice one. Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 2, 2006 Updated: May 7, 2006The scores goes for the first version of this beer known as 4 Non Blonde: A hazy dark orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is lightly spicy and fruity with notes of coriander, oranges, and peaches. The flavor is sweet with a good rather fresh fruityness including notes of peaches and oranges, but also rather spicy which gives it a dryness, and with a caramel note lying in the background. I also find a hint of banana, that gives me associations of a weizenbock.
The second version of this beer was called Été and had a slight twist to the recipe of the first version: A muddy brown beer (which reminds me somewhat of a Fantome beer I had once) underneath a thin beige head. The aroma is very light with hints of yeast and fruit. The flavor is very yeasty and very fruity, but also has hints of vegetables. [6/2/6/3/12] Jeppe (2635), Ølbutikken, Denmark Apr 3, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. A hazy deep orange golden beer with a white head. Fruity aroma with some yeast and light spices - sweet and candied. Light tone of alcohol and a grassy note. Flavor is Dominated by orange, mild a lemonady and easy drinkable. Light hoppy bitterness in the end. Flat mouthfeel.
