Borup (979), Albertslund, Denmark Dec 9, 2007 Draught. Cloudy brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, chocolate, caramel and banana. yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 2, 2007 From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown, completely dense, and with a dense and light brown/off-white head. Orange and bubblegum aroma, slight malty and minor roasted note too, subdued spice tone. Flavour holds a smooth and sweet minor chocolate towards roasted malt note in a subdued wrap of wheat. A mild and complex set of spices follow. Finish holds a slight roasted malt note and some more classic wheat notes appear - somehow it doesn’t matter at this stage and it isn’t dominant (I dislike wheat notes). Solid bitterness lingering into the finish in which the alcohol vaguely can be sensed. I true Brewpub classic, my first of their beers which I had from a corked bottle in 2005. bager (2028), Copenhagen N, Denmark Dec 21, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. Murky dark brown coloured with a rather small head. Slightly roasted, fruity (banana) and a slight hint of liqourice. jmm1 (107), Andorra Dec 13, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy brown body with a beige long lasting head. Ripe banana, cinammon and vanilla nose. Yeasty banana and wheat flavors at first, then roasted malts coming on a finishing chocolate bitterness. Silky mouthfell, small carbonation, quickly vanishing aftertaste. Lacks complexity for a Weizenbock but still a nice try. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Dec 12, 2006 Draught at the brewpub Cloudy dark amber color. Aroma of fruits, light, ripe apples and banana. Ordinary taste, Dunkel Weizen with some wheat, spices and banana taste. Unemotional, but not bad.
