SDbruboy (1821), San Diego, California, USA Jun 9, 2008 On draft at brewpub, final taster of sampler tray. Arrives a clear mahogany-amber color with a small beige head that leaves spots of lace. Aroma of persimmon and spice, florals, dust and earth, citrus, grass and toasty malts. Flavor is toasty and bitter, with citrus rind, pine needles and forest floor, lemon grass, cumin, cantaloupe rind and florals. Medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice ! yngwie (3465), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 26, 2007 On tap at the brewpub. Clear, copper body, with a dense, off-white to beige head. Fruity nose with pine, resin, citrus and some malty sweetness. Sweet start on the flavor, but the sweetness is soon muscled away by the hops, with bitterness, pine and resin. The finish has a nice, resiny bitterness with fruits and citrus. Medium body, maybe a bit sticky. A lovely, hoppy IPA, not extreme in any way.
