thewolf (3490), Kolding, Denmark Apr 19, 2007 Tap. Pours a very muddy orange-red with a small white creamy head, with loads of lacing to the glass. Aroma has plenty of wood (birch?), some smokyness and lots of yeast. Taste is sweet and dry, vinious and spicy, but with lots and lots of cardboard - not a good balance!
Rastacouere (5258), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Nov 26, 2007 Opaque/cloudy dark orange beer, well carbonated and maintaining a fair sheet of lacing despite the small size of its foam. Not so much of a yeast influence to the flavours. It is rather a fruitily malty ale with citrus, peaches and red berries nuances over a hefty biscuity base. Heavily sweet palate punctuated by mellow carbonation that leaves an oily impression. A bit underwhelming. fonefan (4328), Ulfborg, Denmark May 29, 2007 Draught @ Brewpub, Copenhagen. Clear amber color with a average fizzy fair lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is malt, sweetwood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. jerohen (1465), Bussum, Netherlands May 25, 2007 On draft at Brewpub. Hazy brown coloured appearance. Caramel malts and ’zoethout’ in aroma. Sweet malty flavour. I really liked this one. skortila (2388), Bunnik, Netherlands May 21, 2007 Tap @ Brewpub København. Aroma of caramel malts, sweetwood, and chocolate. Hazy, brown coloured with an off-white head. Taste is sweet, malty (toffee/chocolate) with sweetwood, some dried fruits. Medium bodied. Quite an interesting and enjoyable brew. Furseth (1105), Kungälv, Sweden May 18, 2007 on Tap at Köbenhavnske Öldager 2007.
Red clear amber colour, flat head.
Aroma of dry hopy nose, malty, and a bit citric, and again an dry hopy ending.
Flavor is mouch a like, yeasty, fruity, woody mouth feeling, and has a thin to medium body, belive it or not! Medium finish.
