(On tap) Beautiful warm and almost clear reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt, a little tobacco and smoke. Medium-bodied with sweet roasted malt and a burned, tobaccoish edge. Some bitterness in the finish with a light, underlying acidity. 260408

Jun 6, 2008 On cask at the brewpub. Muddy red brown with a lasting white head. Roast malt aroma, biscuit notes and some peat smoke. Sweet malty flavour with peat smoke and milk chocolate in an unusual combination

May 16, 2008 Draught @ The brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy brown colorwith a small off-white head. Malty hoppy caramel aroma with some weak hints of smoke. Sweetish roaste malty caramel flavor with some hints of hops and chocolate. Sweet roasted malty caramel finish with a hoppy bitter aftertaste.

May 13, 2008 Small offwhite head. Hazy deep amber body. Smoky stale aroma with roasty coffee notes. Dry-sweet smoky wooden roasty taste with chocolatey notes. Dry long wooden earthy roasty aftertaste lasts for a long time. Very nice. (0.1l draft at the brewpub.)
