3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From tap at the brewpub, thanks to Grovlam. Pours deep amber with a brown tone and a lacing head. Dry and slight woody, minor acidic and slight spiced. Flavour holds a nice soft caraml base with some body lasting into the finish. Finish holds a bit of bitterness and a minor spice note. Nice bock but not a barley wine.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ the Brewpub. Pours a deep red with a small off white film head. Aroma has strawberries, caramel, oak and prunes. Rather low carbonation, making the beer quite nice and oily. Flavour is great, vinious, some strawberries, sweet caramel and slight smokyness in the aftertaste. Very well rounded and very good Barley Wine.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Brewpub. Small creamy beige head that mostly diminished. Fair lacework. Light cloudy dark amber to almost light brown color. Notes of caramel and fruit with a hint of bread. Over the palate notes of burned malt, peach and a pinch of spice. Medium bodied for an 8.5% that was again served to cold which might be the reason for not feeling the alcohol at all. The brew was soft carbonated. Moderated sweet flavor with a light hint of bitter notes. Burned lingering bitter finish.
