Grovlam (4154) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 9, 2008
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2008 Draught @ Brewpub. Cloudy dark amber color with a creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Aroma of light grain, maybe star aniseed, coriander, hint of bread and fruit and some toasted malt. Over the palate I picked up a hint of liquorish and chocolate like aroma. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of acidic and bitterness. Light sour and sweet malty finish. More like a Belgian Brune!

Ungstrup (29208) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 1, 2008
Draft. A murky dark brown beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - among them a light note of banana. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of banana, yeast, and medium notes of chocolate, leading to a dry wheaty finish. A Belgian Brune - and not as it is listed a Brown Ale.

Hazy dark amber with tiny off white head. Sweet fruity aroma with discrete roasted malt and chocolate notes. Same goes for the flavor that ends slightly bitter.
