Draft. Brewed as a summer version of the Porter, the hops is Willamette instead of East Kent Goldings and the yeast is a Chico instead of a Scottish ale yeast.
A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of dusty hops, chocolate, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of wood, citrus, and roasted malt, leading to a dry woody and bitter end. Good - but personally I like the standard version better, but I’m a sucker for the more powerful beers, and this version is intended to be lighter.

(On tap) Black and opaque with a handsome, dense, beige head leaving laces. Aroma of roasted malt with a vaguely burned touch. Medium body, sweet notes of roasted malt, lightly burned and pehaps a whiff of smoke. Not much bitterness really. A mild and very alluring Porter. 140407

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a tan head. Roasted malty aroma with some hints of chocolate. Roasted malty flavor with hints of chocolate and coffee. Also some yeasty hints. Roasted malty finish.

Dark color. Roasted malt aroma, very yeasty. Caramel, roasted malt and candy liquorice flavor, still a lot of yeast. Not very good.

Tasted at 2 occations - 3 different ways (Just before carbonation / Draught / Cask). First occation: from storage-tanks minutes before Gunnhild carbonated it. Second occation: 14 days after release, draught (Keg) and Cask. Black - brown head. Licorice, coffee, light flowery, fresh, chokolate. Nice hoppy. Cask-version is a bit more woddy, but has also a bit weaker body. Uncarbonated-version was more flowery and fresher - maybe because the dryhopping still was very obvious. It disappears after a shorttime.... The new yeast means that, it is a bit lighter, fresher and more flowery. And therefor not as heavy and thick as I like a Porter !!

Draught at the brewpub. Pours red-brown with a good beige head with loads of lacing. Aroma is powerful, plenty of hops and roasted malts. Surprisingly thin on the centre of my tongue. Taste is very roasted again, but not much else. It may be ’round’ but it’s also quite boring.

Cask @ the brewpub. Pitch black coloured. Brown dense head. Liqourice, roast and chocolate in the aroma. Flavour of roast, coffee, light herbs and chocolate. LIqourice notable as well. Is quite thin bodied and a bit disappointing in the mouthfeel. A light roasty end.

Draught at the Brewpub. Pitch black colour. Aroma of roasted malt, cooffee and hops. Flavour of well roasted malt and coffee, chocolate and bitter hops. Tasty brew indeed!

Københavnske Øldage 07. It’s a black porter with a nice. creamy head. the aroma has burnt notes of hard roasted malt and coffee. the flavour has burnt notes, a hint of smoke and notes of caramel, coffee and licorice. It’s bitter, but in fact more burnt, and it could do with a bit more complexity... 2135
