Draft at the brewpub - Copenhagen. Pours deep brown with a thick, creamy mocha head. Steady dark malt nose, hint of sugary chocolate, burnt coffee. Medium sweet flavor with charred malts, more burnt coffee, burnt wood, some mild earthy bitterness, burnt marshmallows. Light to medium bodied with average, somewhat creamy carbonation. Dry and roasty to finish, with a mineral it’s that enhances the dryness. Further notes of burnt malts, charred coffee grains, cocoa. Decent offering.

Ar: roasted malt, coffee AP: dark brown, stouthy beige head F: soft, chocolate, dry, coffee - great brew!

Cask @ Brewpub København. Pours black with a small offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice. Flavor is malts, hard roasted coffee, licorice, dishwater, unclean and unfresh. Thin body, flat carbonation. 030513

Cask @ Brewpub Copenhagen. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and liquorice. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. Thin. Not fresh. This is the first cask beer I’ve had from Brewpub København, and if this is their standard, they should really stick to kegs. 030513

Dark brown. Moderate head Chalk, espresso and smoke Very dry and right on for the style. Has a lot of coffee presence and just a hint of chocolate. Slight vanilla property Thin body and weak finish

Overall: A very good stable stout, dark fruits, dark coffee, dark bread.

Almost black in color with a khaki head. Roasted malt and dark chocolate on the nose with a bit of licorice and earth. Lightly acidic and charred. The flavor is also a touch acidic and somewhat bitter, too. Dark chocolate flavor with a lot of roasted malt, some coffee, and licorice. Kind of chalky with a hint of plastic.

Tap at The Brewpub. Almost black in appearance, big light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and english hops. Taste of coffee, chocolate, licorice and earth. Good bitterness, but a bit thin body

Draught at Brewpub København. Opaque, black/dark brown liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of licorice, black patent malt, ash, peat and coffee. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of licorice and peat. Medium bodied with low carbonation. The best of the five beers we tried at the Brewpub.

Robust head, black body, less CO². Roasty, aromatic, malty, sweet taste. Nice, sweet Stout. 10/10/10/10/-/10
