250ml cask conditional, enjoyed in the bier garten of the brewpub. A few patchworks on the surface. Dark, almost black body. Dark malty to the nose. Flavoured with dark fruits and tart berries sustained by roasted malts. Dark fruity bitter endnotes. OK, but a bit thin and a little bit out of tune (Copenhagen, 14.05.2009).

Cask-conditioned@Brewpub København. One-finger, dense yellow head. Soft carbonated, near-black body. Dry, sourish and roasted malty aroma. Light fruit notes and hardly no hops detcted in the aroma. Taste is sour malts, coffe, some dark fruits with an acidic touch. Watered down mouthfeel. Powdery texture. Dry, roasted, sourish-fruity ending. Drinkable, but hard to recognize any scent from the dry-hopping.

Draught. Small light creamy beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma was quite sweet chocolate and light dry hoppy feel over the palate. Also light sweet liquorish, mild toasted malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with some counter bitterness. Light sweet and dry malty / chocolate finish.

On tap. Black and opaque with a small light brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and licorice. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, hard roasted malts and ashy accents with an edge of coffee. Ends fairly malt bitter. Not much hop hop character in spite of the dryhopping. Has a vague underlying tartness which I bet comes from the malt also - Weyermann Carafa 2? 210409
