Very dark brown with a tiny tan head. Malty with roasted tones.Malt, roasted and hops. Medium to full body with a long, bitter finish.

CBF 2012: Dark, almost black. Has an off-white head, medium duration. Aroma of coffee, espresso, roasted grains. Moderate sweet flavor, light bitternes. Creamy, syrupy texture and soft carbonation.

300ml from tap at the brewpub, paired with food. Jet black body, close to naked at the top, spotty lacing to the glassware. Smell of grainy malts and liquorice. Semi-tart fruity taste joined by dark wheat. Liquorice bitterness on the swallow. Accepted (Copenhagen, 09.05.2012).

Fra fat på DØE festivalen: lite aroma men fyldig og god smak med et streif av humle. Står seg godt mot mange av de andre porterene på festivalen.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2012. Pours dark brown with a small white head. Roast, charcoal and chocolate. Bitter and dry. Smooth and medium bodied.

Dark brown, almost black. Slim tan head with plenty of lacing rings as it is quaffed. Hoppy aroma, really hoppy. Taste is hops with hints of chocolate and malt. Spicy, hoppy finish. Not bad.

Draught. Mild fruity aroma. Cloudy black colour. The flavour is fruity and a little papery with a mild coffee note. Low to medium bitterness.

(on tap @ BrewPub) Pours black with little, toffee head and some lace. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of smoke and licorice. Oily consistency with a full body, soft carbonation and a dark and roasted finish. Taste is roasted and not toi heavy. Perhaps slightly heaver than a Samuel Smith. Flavour profile is quite different though. More dark, roasted and somewhat more bitter. Decent and drinkable. Girlfriend says: "the aroma is very weak and the taste is very rich. I can taste coffee in the finish. It's pleasant."

Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, light licorice. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120202]
