Bottle. Poured a near black with a brown head. Aroma had notes of roasted malts, coffee, a bit of smoke and a touch of caramel. Flavor was full of roasted malts that were a bit sweet. The finish had a bit of a bitter kick.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown almost black color with a small longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty coffee aroma with some hints of caramel. Roasted malty coffee and chocoalte flavor. Has a slightly sweetish roasted malty finish with hints of coffee in the aftertaste.

Draught @ Brewpub København, Vestergade 29, 1456 København, Denmark Clear dark dark brown allmost black color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee dusty, coffee acidic notes, moderate hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry and both hop and malt bitter. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090321]

Draught. Average light creamy beige head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Black-mahogany color. Aroma was sweet chocolate, mild roasted malt and a hint of smoke. Also bread, sugar and dried fruit and mild spice. Medium bodied, average carbonation, light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor, light bitterness. Sweet chocolate and light bitter finish.
