UPDATED: MAR 3, 2010 From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and shortlived tan head. Aroma is dark roasted, breadish and light butterish. Toffee and liqourice light flavoured to the dark roasted malt. Dry and roasted malt flavoured into a lingering medium dry malty finish. Subdued bitterness.

Draft. A red-chestnut brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, butter, yeast, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, butter, and malt, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. The butter note is a drawback.

300ml draught at the brewpub. Served at a fine drinking temperature. Unclear, orange-brown in body colour. Beige bubbles and fragile lacing on the glass. Faint aroma of smoked malts. Peaty malts in flavour slowly taken over by tart fruits. Hints of yeast and spices. Medium bodied (Copenhagen 25.03.2010).

0.3 L draught@the brewpub. A layer of tan bubbles, over a muddy, dark reddish brown body. Light vinegar-scented. Some ashy malts and faint apple fruity aroma. Medium sweet, slight sour malt flavor with a very mild berry sourness beneath. Easy on the palate. Softly carbonated, almost flat. Mellow malt finish. I really enjoyed the Oud Bruin vinegary sourness in this one, otherwise a bit thin and bland.

Tap @ Brewpub. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head. Nose is hops and a bit of butter. Fruity, some citrus, rubber and smoke. Low carbonation. Medium bodied. Very odd attempt to brew a Belgian Ale.
