Nickls (1342) - SE DC, Washington DC, USA - MAY 5, 2010
(Old BA rate - tap) Poured with a great creamier looking slightly off-white head and was a darker copper color and hazy. Mild earthy and grassy hop aromas, with some fresh bake biscuit aromas. Great hop bitterness up front with the straw and tea-like earthly hop flavors. Very dry in the finish, but had a favorable malt back. Some off sour flavors that detract from the overall taste . A touch creamy with very muted carbonation. Would have been a whole lot better drinking had it not been for the sour flavors that were in the taste. Just a bit off

gyllenbock (1914) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 2, 2009
On tap at the Brewpub in Copenhagen. Copper color with a small beige foam that disappeared quickly. Aroma of malt, nuts, citrus and some weak hints of smoke. The taste was nothing special, not so fresh in terms of citrus and tropical fruits that I had hoped for. Clearly this was a British IPA. The bitterness was mild, also some yeast in the taste. A lot of nuts inte aftertaste. A bit watery and boring.

Bottle. Poured a clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma had pine and citrus hops with a sweet earthy undertone. Flavor was similar to that of the aroma with quite a bitter finish.
