TorbenJensen (1464) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 17, 2015
Pretty light brown and persistent foam rises to the top of this dark wheat beer. The smell not readily other classic wheat beer would fragrances, but has a slightly more acute hoppy aroma. Palate is very rich in fruits. It has a nice round tang of orange peel and something else indefinable citrus. The flavor goes later into a lightly malty and full-bodied aftertaste. It is easily drinkable, although the strength is somewhat high as compared to other wheat beers of the same type. It has many of the same classic features as other dark wheat beer. Tasty and commendable, but not a great surprise.

330 ml draught at the brewpub. Mahogany red colour. Creamy light beige head. Hazy. Clovey aroma with hints of estery fusels. Very fruity with dry powdery hops. Yeasty. Dark malty flavours in the finish.

Unclear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, peat and chlorine notes. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090922]

Small offwhite head. Deep dark red barely translucent body. Fruity smoky burnt buttery aroma with chocolate notes. Stale earthy chocolatey (black nougat) taste with burnt fruity notes. Soft mouthfeel. Dry smoky nougat aftertaste with lingering smoke notes and some perfume. Nice. (0.1l draft at the brewpub.)

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 21, 2008
Dark brown-red colored with little light brown head. Mildly licoricy, still somehow unclean glueish aroma with sweet touch. Medium bodied. Flavor is drier with this same licorice-glue note, yeast comes up also in aftertaste. Must be something wrong in here.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 30, 2008
Draught at Brewpub, Copenhagen. Pours out in a cloudy, almost opaque dark brown colour with a rich white foam. Toasted malts, milky chocolate, banana, nuts, butter and pears in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of toasted malts, banana and acidic green apples with touches of fudge. Mild carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel. Malty finish of over-riped bananas and fudge with disturbing notes of green immature apples. Could have been tasty if weren’t for those appley undertones. Still, the base of the beer is well-made.

yngwie (16523) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2007
On tap at the brewpub. Creamy beige head on top of an almost black, or at least very dark brown, body. Burnt start on the aroma, with a fruityness coming strong, mostly banana-ish. The flavos is fruity as well, with some banana, a little caramel and bitterness, some roasted notes and a touch of citrus. Medium body, maybe a bit thin. Fruity finish with citrus and banana. Nice, quaffable beer that could use a bit more body. (071006)
