Ungstrup (11697), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 22, 2007 Draft. an unclear dark brown beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of wheat, caramel, and banana. The flavor is sweet malty with just a hint of acidity and notes of banana, wheat, and citrus, leading to a dry wheaty finish. The mouthfeel is just a bit sticky. Papsoe (11062), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 14, 2007 (On tap) Hazy, dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of banana and diacetyl. Rather full-bodied with some unusual notes of chocolate malt, some banana and diacetyl and then a somewhat hard to define tang. Not your typical Dunkelweizen and considering its strength its actually close to a Weizenbock. 140707 yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 6, 2007 Sample from tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a nice lacing off white creamy head. Nutty and roasted malt aroma. Bitter nutty and strong roasted malt flavour, not dark just strong. Slight bubblegum in the finish. joergen (6814), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 7, 2007 Draught at the brewpub.

Hoppy finish.
More fruity and less sweet than most dunkelweizen. Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Jul 18, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. A light muddy brown beer with a big beige head. The aroma is of yeast, wheat, caramel and banana, so is the taste, but light sweet and dry. Light body with a light sweet, dry, dusty finish. A bit thin.
